Sorry for the newbish question, but is Hal Jordan the GL that most people want to see? I'm only familiar with the DCAU versions John Stewart and Kyle Rayner so personally I want to see one of those.

Pretty much....he is the Silver Age GL and is the GL most comic fans associate with....not to burst your bubble, but the only reason John Stewart was in the JL series was because Hal was dead or The Spectre when JL started on TV

Same thing with Kyle on S:TAS, he was the GL in the comics at that time.

Yeah Im pretty sure Kyle was used because of Hals status in the comics and John was to stop the JLA from being all white, although i think John is the better GL for JLA anyway

Why are people so wet to see Ryan Gosling in a super hero movie?....I agree that he is a fantastic actor...Fracture, The Believer, and Half Nelson are some of my favorites, but that doesn't mean he would make a good super hero....Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a good actor, but he has NO PLACE in GI JOE....

To each his own. But almost anyone can bulk up to Hal's size. And his look isnt that hard to replicate either. But once again, to each his own.

And Rachel McAdams is wrong for Carol as well, at least looks wise. Besides, she's fan-cast in everything. You sure you don't want to switch Gosling for Jude Law there? That, along with Weaving and McAdams would make this the perfect fan-cast-wank list!!!!
