I can live with this, if it's true, but Gosling would work much better as Barry Allen, imo.

Not a bad choice. If he is picked for the role, I hope they beef him up and make him grow out his hair a bit to make him look more Hal-esque.

... I wonder if Gosling is Berlanti's pick for Hal, too. And maybe Rachel McAdams as Carol Ferris.

Gosling might not look exactly how we picture Hal, but he's got the talent to capture the spirit of the character and bring him to life for a wider audience. And he's one of these actors known for putting on/losing weight dramatically, and transforming for a role. I'm sure by the time shooting comes along, if he's cast, he'll be utterly convincing as Hal Jordan.

They were what they needed to be. For me, they're an improvement from what they wear in the comics. Anyway, they're good for manips because of the simplicity.

For the record, I was the one who said that I thought the movies sucked before you told me that they were "good popcorn movies." So, who are you to invalidate my opinion?

And you must admit, it's very cool to bash those movies despite the fact that they brought in 500 million dollars. Someone had to see them a few times. I've just developed an itchy trigger finger cause I've had to defend them for years.

Especially against the Lowest Common Denominator of the fanboy population. I believe you call them Batfans.

Bottomline: Substance is always better, but plenty of films get by on style. The aesthetic look of F4 as well as the performances of Chiklis, Evans, Grufford, Jones, and Fishburne were spot on. That doesnt make it great, barely makes it passable, but there is more integrity in it then most will lead you to believe.
