He apparently IS one of the actors they are considering, but I am told it's unlikely he'll get it.

Wow....interesting that a couple of us were guessing they would consider that guy since he seems to be the "it" guy for them right now.

Lets hope it is not Emile Hirsch or someone underwhelming like that. I'll puke if it's him. Also, why woudln't WB's consider Duhamel an up and comer?

It's probably going to be Ryan Phillipe or someone like that.

Hmm....what about Henry Cavill? Is he busy with War of the Gods yet?

Yes, I am already gearing up for the fanboy slamming/post-trailer 180 fawning and ass-kissing that we got with Ledger, if it's someone like Gosling or Affleck cast.

Wow....well if they are considering "older" actors like Caviezal or Edward Burns then I would think those guys are backups because of age that Hal is in the script.

I'm baffled as to why Hartnett and Duhamel are not being considered.

Lets hope they don't go crazy unconventional and cast Ben Stiller or Luke Wilson??

Age aside, I think Ed Burns would be awesome in the role. He has a great look for it and he suits Hal personality-wise.

A Green Lantern movie directed by Greg Berlanti and starring Jensen Ackles and Alana de la Garza sounds completely underwhelming. It would OK for a TV series, though.

I actually watched The Notebook for the first time the other day and I was thinking she would be a good Carol, especially if Ryan Gosling was Hal. They had great chemistry together.

I am. The cast behind Batman Begins was completely underwhelming to the mainstream movie audience - the film, however, was excellent and thus people went. You don't need a huge cast to make a huge film.

De la Garza is a great actress. Watch her on Law and Order. They don't give supporting roles who share screen time regularly with Sam Waterston to bad actors.

Berlanti is underwhelming, though.

Ackles I have no opinion since I haven't seen is work but he does have good experience as an actor to let me give him the benefit of the doubt.

I am watching 'Law and Order' regularly again, for the first time since I was a teenager because of De La Garza, Sisto, and Anderson...they have all been fantastic

Now Batman's Dad is the best attorney ever.
