The popularity of Jensen Ackles is somewhat perplexing. His performance in Supernatural is mediocre, though I suppose that may be the failing of the writing.

this season, his character has had to carry a lot of the narrative, they even had an episode that featured him exclusively....and he's doing a good job of it

Not that I've seen, no. I would describe his performance as "adequate."

we all have our opinions....also I checked out your board there, looks interesting enough

Mads Mikkelsen is my Sinestro.

Hal Jordan - Sam Worthington.
Carol Ferris - Rachel McAdams.
Tom Kalmuka - John Cho.
Hector Hammond - Jackie Earle Haley.
Martin Jordan - Dennis Quaid.
Carl Ferris - Jon Voight.
Abin Sur - Doug Jones.
Tomar-Tu - Doug Jones.
Killowog - Sam Winstone.
Sinestro - Hugo Weaving.
Do you mean Ray Winstone as Kilowog?
I'd prefer Michael Clarke Duncan who's a GL fan, btw.
Anyway it's a nice cast list.

I like Michael Clarke Duncan, but i think he's too expensive for a secondary character like Kilowog is in the script (He only has three lines). Ray Winstone is not exactly cheap, but it's more suitable, besides having a voice that matches with a tought hippo-like alien cosmic police sargent.

My main hope is that Paul Giamatti is Hector Hammond.

In this moment Ray Winstone is far more expensive than MCD, who's doing guest roles in sitcoms and secondary roles in B movies like the new Street Fighter.

If that's true, bring on Michael Clarke Duncan. But it's sad that a great actor like him end up in "Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li".

I'd like Brendan Gleeson (Braveheart, Harry Potter) as Kilowog. It would be his type of role.

Yes, I am already gearing up for the fanboy slamming/post-trailer 180 fawning and ass-kissing that we got with Ledger, if it's someone like Gosling or Affleck cast.

ROTFLMAO!!!!! It's funny cuz it's true! :lmao:

I say Casey Affleck as Hal Jordan, Ryan Gosling as Barry Allen. Good?:up: :woot:

Interesting choice. He certainly has the voice for it.

Agreed. He obviously thought about the choice, instead of just picking somebody with a big forehead (though Weaving is a fine big-forehead candidate, haha). Le Chiffre has very much the sort of attitude and mannerisms I would attribute to Sinestro--not just that innate arrogance, but also the way he responded when things weren't going his way, the way he became flustered and angry.

He doesn't have the look at all, but that's okay. I'd be willing to sacrifice Sinestro's look for Mads Mikkelsen's performance.

Incidentally, I'm so happy that Ethan Van Sciver was able to bring some menace to Sinestro. Giving him black eyes, for example, was a wonderful choice, and Van Sciver even made that ridiculous starburst costume awesome. Thanks to him, when it comes time to adapt Sinestro, there's something to point to that looks incredible, instead of like Mr. Spock with a tan and a silly costume. I think Van Sciver manages to draw Sinestro as one of the most visually interesting villains in the DCU, and Geoff Johns has written him as one of the best, period. They've shaped him into an incredible character. It's too bad the film will focus on Legion; I'd hate it if there was no sequel, and we lost the opportunity to see Sinestro in favour of Legion, who isn't particularly interesting, in my opinion.

There was some rumbling I saw on tv a little while back that said that dude from that Gossip Girl show, Chase Crawford or whatever, might be in line for the role. I tried to do a search on it, but nothing popped up. Could've just been one of those E! channel rumor mills, but I heard the phrase Green Lantern and Gossip Girl in the same phrase from one of those vapid personalities, so don't know.

I'd say 23 is a bit on the young side, but I think Crawford is a decent young actor with a bright future, and his look is not bad for Hal IMO.

^ In some pics the dude looks exactly like that ***** Zack Efron. :pal:

I've never seen the show, so I can't comment on the actors. My first thought was :down. But at one point, if you would have mentioned The OC, I would have been against them all, but I actually went back and watched the show and I liked some of the actors, so who knows.

Dude's got a slight Texas drawl, but he turns into a N.Y. rich boy for the show apparently, so I suppose he's got talent in that regard.
