yea i wouldnt mind seeing john stewart show up in a film as long as we know the other human gl exist in his world and all that. There should be more black heroes make it to the screens.

It's a long read and full of spoilers of course. But wow, if they can find a good actor, this movie is going to be awesome. According to the site, the source is unvertified, but I have a feeling it's legit since it's similar to the spoilers posted here back in Aug.

yea like i am the knight said, the first draft of the script been online for months now. And the writers themself have said they have done atless 2-3 rewrites since then so who knows how much or how little things have changed. As great as david B would probably be as hal we already know he is out of the age range wb is looking to go. He is pushing 40s and in the first draft script its stated hal is around 27 yrs old. Also we know they are looking for young actors in the 25-35 range since they were going towards gosling and casey affleck.

I just can't see either of those guys as Hal. I wouldn't mind some unknown guy like the guy that plays The Spirit. I thought he was a pretty decent cast and has the right look.

yea personally i have nothing against gosling/casey affleck. We already know they decline to do the film for what ever their reasons were. But in the end i hope they get the right actor for the job.

John Stewart in the JLU animated series is a great character. The problem is his version in the comics. He's kind of lame there.

I like the fact that the JLU Animated John is a very tight @$$ ex-marine with a pragmatic approach to things. It makes it more interesting when he has to deal with things that his approach doesn't work with. Kind of forces him to grow.

Boring? Could not disagree more, he kicked ass in Mosaic, the friggin guy absorbed the ring into himself and the Guardians referred to him as a brother. Mosaic kicked ass I wish more people read it. Maybe his Marine persona that JLU played up was boring but John is actually very interesting

I was actually really enjoying that until this part...

"In their final embrace they kiss, a kiss with all the passion in the world… a kiss of hope which recharges his ring and he slowly transforms back into the Green Lantern and Carol tells him that she knew all the long."

A Kiss recharges him? A Kiss!?
I'm sorry but that is really, REALLY ****.

I don't think the "kiss recharging ring" is a bad idea. Every superhero movie (Yes, even The Dark Knight, fanboys) has a moment like that, where the hero reaches his maximun and triumphs over the adversity. It's a cool scene and i hope they keep it in the movie.

The kiss can be tied into willpower....this womans love gives him the willpower and galvanizes it.....I'd hope they just get rid of that, but if it's there I won't hang myself
