I think the last kiss scene can be epic and very emotional if done right.

The score that is used would have a key role in that scene.

I agree. The scene is very interesting and i think it could the awesome if done right.

You need to put James Marsden on that poll. He'd be my choice for Hal.

James Marsden? He's a good actor, but i don't think he fits Hal. Besides, he's alredy Scott Summers and Richard White.

The only way he'd get the role is if Kilowog got the girl instead of him at the end.

James Marsden plays the guy most likely to *********e in every ****ing movie he's been in. Except Enchanted, but even then it was a stretch because he gets stuck with Idina "Trap Jaw" Menzel.

...well she seems to be the type of girl who'd give you some backdoor action, so it's not all bad

Hey guys I have been gone for a while but I'm back. Anyway how about Scott Porter as Hal Jordan / Green Lantern.

he seems like a nice young actor and its been stated he is a huge fan of the green lantern character and would love to play him. But since he is a smaller known tv actor he is likely not what they are going to go for. In the end since we know they were going for the likes of gosling and casey affleck its probably going to end up being someone like a harnett/franco/etc...

I would love to see Porter at least get considered. He's been on a popular (at least highly acclaimed) network series. He seems to fit the studio's younger-ish Hal profile.

he could be considered we dont know who else the producers/studio have been looking at before and after the whole gosling/affleck thing.

I have to wonder just how close they are to finding their Hal Jordan. If their aiming for the Spring to start production, we have to find out soon, right?

true if they are hoping for like a march start date they have to be close to finding their actors so it can give a few months time for said actors to get in shape and all that.

Showtime, Lobo and another reliable news source on the forum says Warner Bros. will make an announcement regarding their next DC Comics film lineup (which will include GL casting news, whoever's directing the Supes reboot and BB3 news) soon, sometime next month. (Maybe even later on in the week!)

And the interview with Alan Horn at the Yes Man premiere confirms that GL will most likely be the next DC superhero film to hit screens.

I hope they're right. I'm really curious as to who they're going to go with, especially after the Gosling and Affleck rumors. It seems like they really want a high-caliber actor for this.

yea right now gl seems to be the only one picking up steam and pretty much ready to start shooting very soon. They got writers/director/producers/ various crew members. Casting is the only thing not set yet. Were as flash/ww are stuck in limbo and dont look to be getting out of that for awhile, GA was rumored to be shelved for the time being, hex is without director right now, shazam is somewhat limbo but could easily be on track again. And superman we know they dont even have a firm decision on what direction they even want to go.

Returning to the "What actors in their late 30s could play Hector Hammond" discussion briefly, what about the eternally-underrated Paul Rudd? I think the venomous, snarky wit he brings to many of his comedy roles would be a good match for Hammond as he reads in the script. Plus, his affinity for improv might energise some of the elements of the character in the script that some on here found clunky or uninspired.
