And even 6' is really tall for a test pilot (to be credible). If he was any taller he would have trouble fitting in a fighter jet.

He'd kick some serious ass as Jordan, but he doesnt fit the age range in the script, and he seems to serious, which is something that Hal is not in the script..

I haven't read the script, but it's not serious? Like jokes and crap throughout? Pearce could play it anyway it needed to go, but I don't want him wasted if the movie is like that.

No the film is serious, with bits of humor throughout, and a ton of kick ass GL action.

If he looked rigth with darkened hair, I'd get Ben McKenzie to play Hal Jordan for this script.

Yeah it's a pretty serious movie, but for a good bulk of the movie, Hal seems like a typical 20 something jokester. And Guy...isnt that...but he is an actor...so I 'spose he could pull it off.

Guy Pearce can do comedy. Anyone who thinks he can't hasn't seen Priscilla: Queen of the Desert.

That said, however, I don't see him as a fit for Hal Jordan in this movie.

Is there any specific reason why Hal should go to an America? Batman is a Brit and he succeeded. The actor's nationality should be irrelevant IMO.

The script as is, is tailor made for Jensen Ackles IMO. I'd also be happy with Duhamel, or Scott Porter.

Bale's the only one who has had the opportunity for a character like that. Jamie Bamber from Battlestar Galactica is English and I think he'd make a great Hal. Should he be disqualified based purely on where he was born? Talent shoud matter more then nationality.

A rule that doesn't exist. If anything, the Brits have proven to be versatile actors, and in many cases, better at American roles than a lot of American actors.

I haven't seen that movie. He's not the best actor in the world, but what the script calls for, he does well IMO.

Even though he isnt my number 1 guy, I reread the script, and the whole time I just had him in mine. He'd be perfect.
