They say he is in his 60s and Redford is a very healthy 73 year old guy.
And Redford was a friend of the inspiration for Hal Jordan...

I'm not down on Redford as Alan, but I'm just saying that I can't imagine him being cast because of the way he is in the script.

I still say Dennis Quaid would be a great Alan Scott. Actually, 20yrs ago he would have been a perfect Hal Jordan.

I would be fine with it I guess, although I'd imagine it would be kinda like watching Jack Black in King Kong. There's just something wrong. Like he's winking at the camera. Although SWC is probably more fitting for Guy, since both of them are *****es. Haha.

Exactly. The one thing that possibly makes people dislike him might actually be a plus on this occasion.

He's have the character of Guy down pat.

By the way, I know a few guys who've actually met SWS and they said he was a really cool guy. Really respectful, down to earth and not up his own ass. Just thought I'd take the opportunity to get that out there.
