The marketing will tie into the Christmas "green" and red color scheme I would bet.

I don't mind his acting one bit but somehow his voice just isn't how I'd think Hal Jordan would/should sound. I suppose Jake in GL makes more sense than having him with dyed blonde hair as Thor though. :cool:
 
Jake all the way! This movie could use someone of his star quality and he's someone the public is not tired of. Plus, he has the looks and acting chops. It's a no brainer. WB get this guy!:gl:
 
yea i would be fine for him as hal, hopefully leads are signed soon or if they are already that the news is released soon. More so if the film is set to start may/june/july period for the actors more so hal can have enough time to train, costume fittings, and bulk up.
 
Gyllenhaal as Hal wouldn't be too bad. He deserves to play some sort of superhero after losing out on Batman, Spider-Man and Superman.
 
The Gyllenhaal thing is winning me over the more and more I mull it over, I have to admit................

He was also rumored to be Captain Marvel.
 
Maggie's a better fit for Kilowog... that would significantly reduce the prosthetics budget
 
With both a director and a release date firmly in place, the search is underway for Hal Jordan.

From what I gathered so far, Sam Worthington is obviously unavailable due to his role in Clash of Titans...

Ryan Gosling, who we reported earlier as a candidate, passed on the role...

According to a source, Emile Hirsch (Speed Racer) has also just passed on the role...

So the producers are looking at every young up and coming actor in Hollywood INCLUDING a name I at first found peculiar, but it grew on me and I wanted to share it with you guys.

Anton Yelchin

He is after playing the young bad ass of the future/past Kyle Reese in the upcoming Terminator Salvation (which I can't wait to see) and got the Chekov part in Star Trek.

But Hal Jordan? What do you guys think? Can you see Anton wearing the ring?

Hey, if they went to current it boy Emile Hirsch who is 5' 7'' and totally out of left field in my opinion, then Anton who is 5' 9'' is certainly a possibility.

meh, I strongly doubt he'll end up being Hal Jordan. I think instead that we'll end up seeing more than an Australian actor for the main roles. Worthington was obviously a strong candidate and I think we'll hear the rumor of Hugo Weaving as Sinestro soon.
