A little unoriginal? You want qualifiers? The Hulk pose looks like it's ripped from the Triple X poster (Vin Diesel), Norton looks the same like Wahlberg on the Rock Star movie poster (bag included) and the background looks like a screenshot from Cloverfield. And why am I being considered a troll when everything about this movie 'lacks' in every single way. This is a 150 million dollar movie and they come up with THIS? I'm dissapointed with almost everything that has to do with this movie, that's all.
Seriously though, a lot of people like it and I think there's some merit to what they're saying/feeling. Plus, with it being the case that it's pretty difficult to come up with a completely original idea anymore, I don't know how one better portrays the inner conflict between Banner and the Hulk than to have them back-to-back as shown.
Thus, just because you've seen other posters that would
appear to make the TIH poster a knockoff doesn't mean it really
is a knockoff. It's just a knockoff to you. The problem, if anything, is timing. If this poster came out before those other posters, then you'd be saying they were knockoffs instead. So the whole original/unoriginal argument really is rather silly. Likewise for people who say it looks Photoshopped. It seems holograms are the wave of the future for these people.
And "everything about this movie 'lacks' in every single way"? Come on dude. No one here believes that except you. But that's not what makes you a troll. What makes you a troll is the fact you feel the need to
tell us "everything about this movie 'lacks' in every single way" and, until recently, had only said "it sucks" with no backup. Why don't you just leave? Why pain yourself to stick around to read the comments of a movie you otherwise are going to hate, no matter what anyone says? Do you foresee yourself ever seeing the light? By the sounds of it, I don't think you will.
Going back to the poster, though, I actually do tend to agree with you and others who express disappointment. (I just happen to see there are ways to argue every which side of the coin.) The problem for me, in addition to just not be able to see Norton as a 'lonely man,' is, well, some of the things I've just argued against... it looks too ordinary (something anyone with Photoshop could do) and is rather plain (unoriginal). Especially for a $150 million movie, as you point out. But therein lies its simplicity, which a lot of people are digging. For them, it's more comic book-like and I can appreciate that myself.
