That's funny. I was going to make a post about the graphic novel. I loved the book, in fact it's one of my favorites. However, I know many people just won't or can't get into books. I flipped through the graphic novel at the bookstore and it looked pretty good.

Yeah I didn't read the whole thing but saw the graphic novel and did the same. Parts of it I read seemed like exact translations of the book.

him being legend. That vampires usually are but they are now the majority and superior race. His concerns don't matter anymore because he is the legend that hunts them.

The ending of the book has nothing to do with sadness though. The ending of the book is epic due to the events that have occurred that lead up to it.

Neither ending is true or faithful to the book. The new movie was more faithful to THE OMEGA MAN than the original novel.

the ending killed the movie for me, it was all hyped for him to finally work out this cure, and he dies! his dog dies!!, i hate when good animal characters die in movies, that **** was sad.

also i would have liked him to live to be around for another movie, suppose the cure doesn't last too long or he could have mutated the strain and caused a new branch of infection.

that would have been cool.

I like the alternate ending because it does stick closer to the book, in spirit. There's a clearer revelation to Neville that he's the one who's the "monster" in the alternate end. Though it doesn't have anything resembling the same punch as the book ending.

That's because nothing in the movie is like the book. The only similarites are the Title (which means nothing in the film), the name Robert Neville, and the vampires.

By the way, I absolutely love your avvy. The best film in the last decade for me.
