I really enjoyed it....looks like some real good action blended with some drama and thriller aspects. I personally couldn't completely make out the "vampires" but what I could see didn't look bad. This is definately toward if not all the way at the top of my holiday movie list.

Even though it was a quick glimpse, the look of the vampires sort of remined me of the Reapers in Blade II.

I gave up waiting for IGN :down and watched the medium res version, the film looks great IMO, the action looks well done but there is a lot of the isolation and horror in there as well, plus no wisecracks, the CGI looked solid enough to me but can be tweaked no doubt.

no the dog DOES talk!

when he says "sam..we gotta go!" and the dog even points his head...

the dog talks!!! im not crazy!!

you are crazy sir, the dog does not talk. that would be a slap in the face of all things richard matheson. and the trailer did look pretty cool, the cg needed some touching up from what i could tell but that could just be the low res trailer i saw.

and it better be rated r. its will smith, people will come.

So basically Will is Shaggy and the dog is Scooby-Doo.

Neville: Uhhh, did you see that, Sam?

Sam(in Scooby voice): Uhh?

did you guys ever see that movie i think it was called 'a boy and his dog' starring don johnson i believe? it was about an apocalyptic world where the dog was mutated so it could send messages to the boys character... played by don of course... weird flick.... when you said the dog talks its all i could think about....

Never read the book, and wasn't excited for the movie but that trailer looked really good IMO. But those vampires looked more like zombies. I would ask how mutated vampire zombies fit into a story about the last man on earth but I won't, I'll wait till the movie comes out.

does the dog say 'go make me some blueberry pancakes'?

they are to skinny and pale to look like zombies... i think they're a perfect mix between the two

they are "infected"... nothing in specific
