What? They did? No, no way I hate Zombies they bore me.
No these people are more like Vamps they have a brain and are not like Zombies who are just liked feed feed.

I have to say the last act of the book is great, I really enjoyed reading that part was great with the two characters and the ending.

There are humans who have changed kind of like vamps in a way but not Zombies at all. Their smart.

That's the book though,i don't think the movie will be all that close to it from what ive read,i may be wrong but i thought there was an article where they said the Vamps were more zombie like in their actions

I'm expecting them to be a cross between the zombie/vampires in The Last Man on Earth and the mutants from Omega Man. Either way, I'm confident that we won't get creatures that resemble those of the book very closely.

In the book the humans who change due to this virus thing take him away and say they have to kill him, as everyone is scared of him.
And he kills himself, this girl helps him out of a bad death as shes the one who takes him out of his house to this other place.
And as he dies he says ''I am Legend'

The book is a good read, you guys should check it out.

But I hate it when they don't make a film like the book as the things in the book aren't Zombie like at all.

If it's done right, everybody will be happy (including myself), at least I hope so

BTW, it's very smart to move release date of so huge movie to the month, where there is enough gold to look for

Unfortunately, I think they're going the cannon fodder route.

You're probably right,that would vibe with the fact we have heard of no other casting,i await the trailer eagerly to see exactly how this has been approached

Who knows? On a movie like this, there's bound to be tons of CGI. Now Neville isn't going to Hell and there won't be demons coming out of mirrors or anything, so it won't have as much CG as Constantine, but I'm expecting lots of huge action sequences that would probably necessitate quite a bit of CG. Unless they're sticking to the novel a lot closer than I thought, which would be awesome.

I've just come to expect it when it comes to big budget action star vehicles. I'll be happy if I'm wrong though. We'll probably get an idea when the trailer comes out.

Really looking forward to this one since I've been wanting to see another remake for years now.

The book itself doesn't require loads of CG work but wasn't it confirmed /discussed long ago that this movie itself was going to be based on the Mark Protosevich script.
For those that don't know what the Protosevich script is :
It's the script that was going to be used when Arnie and Ridley Scott were going to make this movie. The script itself does stay largely faithful to the book but it was far more of an action movie.
In the book , the house of Neville is protected from the vampires but in the script of Protosevich the house of Neville is almost a fortress.


I know i linked the script in the beginning of this thread. Anyways they aré using the Protosevich script as a basis but things have changed . Hopefully not too much. I think that CG will be used alot of times in this movie but i doubt there will be too many big shots.
Also considering that "most" big budget movies typically have a post prod. period of a year and this flick ended shooting in March of '07 , i think we all can assume that there won't be too much CG.
