Official One Tree Hill season 5 thread

Haha, Peyton totally pwnd Lindsay.

I was a bit disappointed that Nathan and Tim didn't have any scenes. I mean they were best friends before Lucas and Nathan became close to each other.

I laughed so much when they showed a slow motion of all the guys walking out of the locker room. They show all the big guys (Lucas, Nathan, and that cocky high school kid) and then they pan out and show Jamie. I loved every scene he was in. I enjoyed seeing Tim again and it was funny how easy he got out of the library. I also liked the Peyton/Lindsey fight. She made Lindsey cry! But I got quickly annoyed at the singer girl asking so many questions. She was shy and quiet during each episode until now. Why the sudden change?

Peyton and Haley are grooming her for indie pop stardom. She needed to break out of that quiet/shy sh** eventally.

I was thinking about that too. I'm guessing he was getting paid very well prior to his accident and could afford the house by himself (Haley wasn't working at the time, I think). Now if they paid the house in full, great. But if Haley is the one left to pay the mortgage on a high school teacher's salary, then I feel sorry for them. I guess they have the rest of their lives to pay it off. Good thing they started young.

Doing what though? You mean as a pre-player for Seattle? Because we know his history with 'regular' jobs.

How come everyone on the show looks like they've aged 4-5 years, while Haley looks like shes aged twice that. I mean, I know shes all soccer mom now, but she dresses like a 35 year old. I usually dont nitpick crap like this, but Haley is covering up how hot she is, and i just cant accept that.

I know, it's not fair. I think it's just to make her look more "mom-ish." She looked cute in last night's episode I thought.

Jamie MAKES that show. I loved his little Raven uniform. Tooo cute. And he looked so cute in the previews for next week, too.

As for Mia, I thought the same thing. So quiet, now she won't shut up. But she is finally getting to know some of the central women, so I guess it's all cool. Her face was priceless when Peyton complimented her boobs!

Oh, I know. I always liked Tim, actually. And it was so sad the way he said he missed everyone. :( Plus, you know, he's delivering pizzas.
And apparently Haley and Nathan didn't even know he had a son ... named Nathan.

who has a son? Tim? I must have missed that part.

I thought that the whole Peyton-Lindsay fight was pretty funny, up until Lindsay crying over her dead dad. I was rooting for Peyton, and still am, but she just went too far.

I also thought the musical number was pretty good.

Yeah, in the library Tim showed Haley a pic of a little two year old and said he wasn't sure he was as handsome as his dad. (him.) :D And Haley asked his name and he said, "Nathan." It was kind of sad. :(

You gotta hand it to OTH, at least they dont dispose of their characters completely and without explaination. First Jimmy Edwards, then Peyton's stalker, now Tim. Even the kids that were never seen before the school shooting became bigger characters after that episode.

Unless they're adults. What happened to Deb, Karen and Peyton's dad? Except some vague reference to Deb being in Europe with little Lily, we haven't heard anything of them this season. It's been a surprisingly middle-age-less show.

And another thing I would take exception to, they did sort of drop the ball with Pete from Fall Out Boy AND Jake Gylkowski. Peyton had a thing with both of them, then they suddenly quit talking about them. The thing with Pete especially bothered me. With Peyton being so interested in music she wouldn't have just dropped him, if nothing else she would have tried to use that relationship to get connected in the industry.

I do wish they would bring Tim back. I hope we see more of him. He's way cuter than either Nathan or Lucas.

But at least we know that Deb and Karen will probably reappear eventually. With Jimmy and Tim, they just disappeared without a trace. Plus, if you factor in the jump-ahead four years, it makes sense that Deb and Karen might leave Tree Hill. Jimmy and Tim dropped off the radar within a couple of episodes.

Peyton's dad not being there makes sense, considering his job and the fact that he was away from Tree Hill alot.

Jake found out that Peyton loved Luke, and stayed in Florida or wherever.

Pete from Fall-Out Boy being on the show was just awful and possibly my least favorite storyline in the shows five years.

And, last but not least, I think its best that Tim only shows up for a few episodes a season. He's best in small doses.

Oh yeah, now I remember.

I love how kids who were so cool and hot in high school 4 years ago are now either delivering pizzas or are crack ****es. lol

I called that the greatest revenge.

looks like this episode has Nathan screwing up every other scene. lol

Woah...
Haley grabbing Nanny Carrie by the hair and tossing her ass out,
Rachel OD'ing,
Bartender guy beating the s*** outta the drug dealer,
Jamie face-down in the pool.

When did OTH get so f***ing brutal?

Did Haley kiss Chris Keller when she and Nathan were married? She should give Nathan a break. It's not like he slept with Nanny Carrie.

Well, the thing is, they are at such a different place now. When they were first married, they were just kids and had only known eachother for a few months. Now, they have a family and are adults. Plus, when Haley asked Nate if there was anything else, and he said no, he lied to her face. Of course shes pissed.
Haley let Carrie into their home and trusted her with her family, and Carrie totally f***ed her over. Carrie is clearly a maniac.

Oh I agree Carrie is a psycho. When she was talking to Jamie, I was afraid she would take him (with him thinking it was some game) and the storyline would turn into a psycho nanny turned kidnapping. Then when I saw him face down in the pool, I thought the episode would end there and next week's would be about saving him. Glad they saved him at the end but the divorce thing came fast. What ever happened to trial separation?

Yeah, she jumped the gun a bit with the divorce thing. But, I can understand her being over-emotional, lets see...

She has had to deal with the fact that Nathan had slept with her two best friends and her sister,
She catches the woman she trusted with her son, in the shower with her husband,
She is told that nothing happened, but later finds out that they kissed,
Her son tells her that he hates her and that he wished Carrie was his mom,
and while she is fighting with Nathan, she finds her son face down in a swimming pool.
