I remember in the scene where Stark is hiding out from the chick in that building, looks over the counter and sees her, then turns and she is right there waiting for him. Also I don't know if I would refer to it as super speed. Seemed more like heightened reflexes.

yea she may very well have snuck up on tony using speed. i had considered that, but it's never shown on screen.

to me killian was moving super fast when he executed that roll on the suspended platform i dunno.

I hated it.

L-O-L tell me about it, I see alot of that going on in the IM3 threads.

i agree with everything except the bold. there's no way of knowing for sure whether the legion were structurally weaker than the marks 3-7.

i don't think tony would build them as weaker, and i don't think being a prototype automatically equates to structurally weaker.

furthermore, they may not have been prototypes at all. the only prototype is likely the mk 42 because tony is still working on it.

i don't see tony as someone who would leave an armour in an unfinished state before moving onto the next one - note: don't confuse this with him upgrading via a future model.

Let's think about it, Iron Man 3 doesn't take place that long after The Avengers.

How did Tony suddenly get 1- times smarter and made 35 fully function suits when it took him 3 films to make 7?

the film establishes that he had been up for four days straight etc and that he had buried himself in his work.

im not sure how long it takes place after the avengers but i can totally buy him building that many armours and making sure they were up to scratch.

like anything, with enough practice you become more efficient at task x. tony likely became more efficient at making suits.

for someone as paranoid as him about future threats, i dont think he'd be okay with weaker suits. if anything he'd make them as strong if not stronger. tony innovates, he doesn't backpedal.

etc etc.

you can see that most of the armours are similar to others. the only drastic changes seem to be the one's with the large reactors, the one's with the drill arms, the one's with the claw arms and the space, heavy lifting and skeleton suit.

it is likely tony only needed to adjust a few specs in his computer to make majority of his new suits. he went way over the top in the end due to his obsession and anxiety etc, but in the end it paid off lol.

I just don't think he perfected those suits as he did with the first 7, you're brain doesn't work as efficiently with lack of sleep. Besides, the paranoia probably caused him to jump to a new suit each time he thought of a new potential problem.

You raise good points, so I'm not trying to say anyone's wrong the suits being prototypes is just a theory.

I have to see the movie again when it comes out on blue ray, but aren't their cases in IM3 where the suits are destroyed by brute force and not only by heat?

Really that only happens when the helmets get ripped off, and then the suits go kamikaze.

Plus, he isn't actually building them by hand himself. He's just designing them, and has a machine(s) crank them out.

Also, this is a film series where Tony Stark created a brand new element. Belief, suspension, all that stuff

got back i liked this film quite a bit but marvel studios are complete trolls lol

never in my life have i seen such a marketing fake out in the history of cinema you walk in expecting this intimidating terrorist villain who want to take over the world and end tony stark and a dark and gritty tone to one of the most comedic iron man movies yet with that plot twist that makes the mandarin a marketing ploy and an internet meme lol

While watching the end sequence I started laughing because I was thinking of a perfect "How it should have ended" skit.

When Tony tells Jarvis to complete the clean slate protocol or whatever he called it - all of Tony's suits start exploding, they then cut to Rhodey carrying the President to safety and bam they blow up in a flame of fireworks `The End
lol

Ha ha!

Also lol @ Rotten Tomatoes being an indicator of anything

but whatever makes you feel good.

If a movie scores high on RT the chances of the movie being good are high. There have only been two movies in the entire time I've used RT that scored highly (high 80's/low 90's) that I haven't liked (Inception/Hurt Locker).
The inverse is also true, there hasn't been a single movie on RT that has scored lower than 60% that I have liked, not a single one.

oh no we are not HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT WHY ARE YOU ARGUING WITH ME I AM RIGHT AND YOU ARE WRONG THE MOVIE SUCKS LET ME EXPLAIN WHY YOU ARE WRONG FOR ENJOYING IT ARGHHHHH

That's it, right there. The haters seem to think that if they post their hate a million times they'll convince other people to hate the movie by simply shoving their opinions down people's throats.

You mean like the 'SM3 is rubbish' was shoved down the throats of Spidey fans. C'mon, it's what fans do. When you're on top you gloat when you're not on top you take the insults. This has always been the way of things.

Come on, that's cheap.

If a film gets a good rating at RT, everyone is happy about it.

If a film gets a negative rating at RT, people begin to explain why RT is irrelevant.

Of course I have my own opinion. Thor, for example, is a better movie for me than just 77%. But I asked "what is IM3's legacy?", not "what is my opinion?". I wanted to know what will movie history say about IM3 when this is all over. I can't use my personal opinion to give an answer on that.

Again, you are taking this too personally. :whatever:

Lol I know that's basically basing your opinion off other people's opinions.

No, that's an attempt to be less subjective.

In the end, of course, I have to know myself if I liked a film or not.

But that wasn't the question in this case.

Taking things personally is common among these boards.

Politely go to shake his hand and when he moves to shake your hand suddenly act like a drunken lout. When Sir Ben asks what the heck is going on, say your previous polite behavior was a facade.

I'd like to introduce you to the concept of reality vs fiction. Sir Kingsley was playing a fictional role, which you are in your right to dislike. Sir Kingsley will be at the screening which takes place in reality, so deserves some respect.

And I'd like to introduce you to the concept of humour :yay:

Seriously? I haven't seen any "hater" try to convince others that the movie sucked. They just say what they didnt like about the movie. I have seen fans who liked the movie claim others "don't get it". Which is insulting.
