hell no:down

people complained about sm3 having too many characters now they want to intorduce 6 more? no, plus if they really want to introduce em, leave em for the SIXTH movie
The Sinister Six probably isn't going to be in a Spidey Film until Spidey6 which I think is the perfect time to introduce the Sinister Six.

I would personally kick Sam Raimi's ass...if he put the Sinister Six in SM4!

So should it just be Lizard in SM4? Or another villain with him?

Hmm, I'd like to see Raimi and Co do one more film. After 4, then recast.

Either lizard by himself or with kraven for sm4.

If they get a new cast I would like to see

Spiderman/Pete: Chad Donella
MJ: on another thread someone said Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and I could see that.
Gwen: I don't know.

Director: I don't know.

I would love to see Wachowski Brothers direct at least one Spider-Man film. The thing is, I don't think a high-profile director would want to direct a Spider-Man 4 film, kind of like sloppy seconds. Who knows, I would love to hear Sony or Marvel choices for a new director. I'd probably scream upon hearing it.

I think you hit a nail on the head I've been trying to say. People are saying James Cameron or this amazing director or that. Geek favorites Alfonso Curan (who hit it big now after Children of Men) and Peter Jackson (people forget he's making the Lovely Bones) keep popping up.

No established director will want to do a superhero movie with a 4 on the end of the title. They are Sam's movies now. They don't want the baggage. That's why you can drop from Bryan Singer to Brett Ratner. I fear the same will be the fate of Spidey, though.

I've been wondering though, this is why I'm really curious to have Sam Raimi say that he's not directing SM4. I just want to see what other various directors, are interested enough in this franchise to want to direct a fourth Spider-Man film.

The truth is, we're saying that a high-profile director wouldn't be interested, but how do we really know?

Thats a good point. Who would want to come in and do the fourth installment that is an established director and take over the francise.

Thats what I've been saying.

somebody who wants to get paid.:o

Nothing like hiring a director for the money. You end up with such great revelations as Joel Schumaucher taking over for Tim Burton. Oh that was a good one. Or what about Brett Ratner replacing Bryan Singer? Another great hiring of a lowly talented director for hire. Maybe we'll get lucky and get a Mark Johnon level replacement of Speilberg in Jurassic Park.

Curan, Cameron, Jackson, Fincher (who would be my ideal pick for an ew fresh take), etc. will not touch it.

Well ,the question is whether they'd be offered it or whether the studio would go for cheaper director . If they wanna save money on the next one I would assume they'd go cheaper on the director . I think a few of them would touch it depending how much creative control they'd be given , and the pay check.

However, if sony thought they could get Cameron or Jackson who are known for money makers they wouldn't hesitate .

Why do people always think a bad director will take second helm? Look at the Harry Potter films and its various directors, those films turned out fine. It's all about who you choose. That's why Batman Begins doesn't look like Batman and Robin, because someone chose a better director, with a better vision. And Nolan isn't a big name director like you listed above.

Personally, I think Sony would go for someone like Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) to direct a Spidey film.

The point he's trying to make is, directors of a certain stature would not want to follow in Raimi's shadow. It's a bad career move to attach your name to a franchise that is already Raimi-fied in the hearts and minds of audiences. If it was just about the paycheck, there wouldn't be such things as publicists.

You care to explain Harry Potter's various directors? We don't need a big-named directors, just good director, with a really good vision? There are directors out there that can do a better job than Raimi, they don't need to be high-profiled. Sony just has to take the time to find him. That's my point.
