Since i could not find the Teen Titans sub-forum,i might as well make a thread about it.Also, since the series is now over. This is to talk about the entire series, and not just a certian episode.

What did you think of the series?Good?Bad?Could have lasted longer? This is the place to talk about the Teen Titans Animated series.

All together I think the series was good, and annoying at times. It definitely could have lasted longer with good writers that is. The finale reminded me of the Buffy finale with everyone coming together and fighting but yeah my favorite fights were Starfire vs Blackfire the one in 'Bethrohed' or however you spell it. Raven vs Tara and Robin vs Slade in the Apprentise episodes. They are more but those are the ones that come to mind first

im just curious how this teen titans tokyo dtv is going to be, whenevr it gets released.

TT was ok.
I wouldn't call it great, but it was good to some degree.

I think it was average.
Just something to watch, ya know?

Either it will be great, or complete garbage.

http://www.jlanimated.com/ Has a link to both screenshots and the trailer for the DTV. It looks like fun filler, but actually better than BRAINIAC ATTACKS may be.

Alot of people say that the Teen Titans cartoon was very good up until Terra killed Slade at the end of Season 3,that`s when people said it went down hill slightly.

What did people think of Speedy`s appearence? How Titans East was treated?

TEEN TITANS had its ups and downs, a lot of missed potential but also some character development and tight action. It tried WAYYYY too hard to ape anime, though, but overall I could say I'm probably enjoying it more than I am of THE BATMAN.

I wouldn't say it all went downhill after Season 2. Every season had some good episodes, and Season 4 (the Raven/Trigon season) was quite dark and serious. Season 5 saw the show go "unlimited", with mixed results.

Speedy was alright, although the Titans East quickly became boring to watch. The dynamic wasn't as memorable between them as it was with the regular Titans. Speedy was fine when he was alone, but with the TE he got more annoying. Same with Aqualad.

Still a shame the identity of Red X went nowhere, even if he was meant be a walking metaphor.

Wasnt there some rumor that Red X was Jason Todd?

Beast Boy had a series of possible identity options for Red X in the episode "X", and one of them was indeed Jason Todd (along with it being a clone, or even Nightwing from the future). The Todd thing was likely just a reference to amuse the knowledable fans.

The only reason I watched Teen Titans was Slade, he is hot & his voice is sexy. I like Robin too, he is cute. It was a good cartoon & it was a shame that it ended so soon & like that. I didn't like the finale, it made things more confusing then resolved anything, it was also kind of depressing.

Did they ever find out who Slade was
He was always intended to be a mysterious character whom we know very little about. Beyond his name the Titans don't know anything about him. This cartoon is out of DC continuity, so I don't know if his history from the comics can be applied to this version of Slade.

I would have really loved to see some episodes going into his past, seeing what he looks like & what his motivations were. The cartoon makes it seem like he is just some bad guy who wants to take over the world because he can. I think he looks stupid in the comics, they would have to change his appearance a bit. There was an episode that we saw part of his face but I had to fiddle with it in photoshop to see it properly.

Slade IS Slade. There's no "secret identity" there; a lot of fans had theories that he was secretly Batman and it got to the point of being annoying. Slade in TT is Deathstroke the Terminator from the comics (I guess "Deathstroke" was too "spooky" a name). In the comics, his name is Slade Wilson. Period. Slade is just his name. Much how Brainiac is HIS name, and Mongul is his name, and so on.

As for motivations, to be frank, TEEN TITANS rarely got into the motivations for most of their villians; they were bad because they were bad, and that was that. There were some exceptions, but not many. In the comics, Slade was a mercenary who was after the Titans because they iced his son, Ravager, in battle. In the cartoon, he seemed to be an uber-genius schemer out for conquest (enhanced intelligence being one of his powers, along with enhanced strength). I do think his design for the show was made sleeker than in the comics (and maybe a little inspired from his 90's design). He still was more interesting than Brother Blood was (who had the exact same scheme, but none of the villianous gusto).

My last post was talking about the cartoon version, if you only watch the series you don't know much about Slade.

I think they used the name Slade because it sounds better, Deathstroke seems a little dated.

In the beginning of the series it was made to seem like there was some big secret about him, but nothing new was revealed. I can see how some people may have thought he was secretly Batman, they are very alike. It is sort of mentioned that in the show, saying that Robin is like Slade & we know Robin is alot like Batman...So...Yeah...

The Teen Titans movie:Trouble In Tokyo was recently shown.I thought it was rather good, what do other people think?

I didn't watch the film but i must say that i liked this show a lot, Slade was the best villain of the show and i think his appearance in the ending of season 1 with Robin vs Slade was great.
I must be alone in this judgement but i prefer the sinister version of Slade in Teen Titans show than him in the comics, i know he may be a bit cliche but he's still damn cool.

I liked the show if, for no other reason, it introduced me to the character of Raven.

indeed, I prefer the show's Raven over her comic counterpart.

I also liked Raven, the show actually introduced me to the team of the Teen Titans, until then i only knew Robin
