OFFICIAL TNA Impact/Wrestling Thread

Last year, I'd say Slammiversary was one of their best PPV's.

It was the end of the Dusty era and you felt like even though they were off tv, things were going to change for the better.

For one thing you had Samoa Joe debuting. For a second, Alex Shelley returned.

Jeff Jarrett was kicked out of the main event and replaced with Raven. Raven finally wins the world title like he should have long before.

Everything was pretty watchable and you had some great matches on this show.

You know what's weird? WWE treated Rhino a hell of alot better than TNA has treated him as of late. They should consider themselves lucky he decided to stay around....

I think they booked him with big things when they realized that he might leave due to his current treatment.

They probably promised him something in order to get him to sign the two year contract.

One can hope. I've grown tired of seeing Rhino in the current position he's in. Not that entertaining.

One TNA insider says that deep down, everything Jeff Jarrett does is with one eye on his dream of being the lead babyface in TNA one day. If that ever happens, Jarrett wants to be accepted and admired by the fans in that role.

The TNA locker room has lost some confidence in Christian Cage after a series of disappointing interviews on TNA programming as of late.

Lance Hoyt and Matt Bentley have fallen out of favor with TNA management. TNA officials think they have attitude and ego issues.

That's some very depressing news...

It seems like Jarrett has a bigger ego to satisfy than I thought. The last time he was babyface, the fans turned on him in favor of Raven anyway. I don't know why he thinks it'll be any different if he does it now.

When did anyone ever say "Oh man, Jeff Jarrett is the hero of this company!"

He's not even good enough to be in the top heel spot, yet he occupies it.

Mind boggling I tells ya.

Jarrett has absolutely no charisma. No way in hell I'd ever cheer him.

Maybe if this was 1999 and he was teaming up with Owen Hart he might get a cheer or three, just by association.

I wouldn't have even known who Jarrett was if it wasn't for Owen. Just like I wouldn't know Mizark without The Rock.:(

I still remember his feud with Razor Ramon. It went downhill ever since.

i won't be home to tape impact this week any spiolers?

Double J needs to bust out that hat he wore against the 123 Kid in Summerslam about 10 years ago. That was tight with the big flashing J's.

He needs to go back to the Nashville wannabe gimmick...because I want to laugh at him more than I already do.

I think I'm the only one enjoying Nash's ''Size Matters'' storyline. Maybe Shelley is rubbing off on him or something....

No, I stated a while ago that I like it alot as well. The involvement of Shelley is really promising.

Yeah,I guess Nash is taking Joe's spot as X-Division bully. I'd like to see Shelley win the title (by pinning Joe cleanly, but I doubt that would happen) then MAYBE a feud with Nash after he wins it,with Shelley also winning that. But again,I doubt it.:(

EDIT: I just hit 14k

I'll think a lot more of TNA if they book Joe/Shelley, Shelley/Low Ki, and the one I want most, Joe/Low Ki. Those three could make a great series of matches. I'd like to see Shelley get the title, and then have him feud with Low Ki over it. I don't care about a stipulation for Joe/Ki, I just want to see it.

Sunds like a potential Round Robin type event to build around.

I'd rather see Shelly be the one to dethrone Joe with the help of Nash (while still holding his own in the matches) leading a Joe/Nash confrontation and Shelly defending the gold against Low-Ki after a feud with Jay Lethal.

That could work really well. Jay Lethal in the mix is a good thing for sure.

And I'd love to see Joe kill Nash.

Not even Joe can stop the power of Nash's ''Backstage Stroke'' :(

I dunno if Nash has any stroke in TNA.

He's not booking WCW anymore, and what's left of the Clique is in the rival promotion.
