Transformers Official Transformer Videos Thread

I'm happier about the fact that he actually LOOKS excited than I am about what he says. I think that's a pretty good sign.

"this movie is going to BLOW you..." blah blah blah...

spielberg's mr. burns hand pose

awesomeness

Not to rain on anyone's parade but Spielberg's comments were taken from the Comic-Con '05 thing.

you can piss on my parade....but the fact is he still said it

Eh? No offence to Spielbergo but most of us already knew there was a story in there, having read the 300+ Marvel comics or whatever.

It's not like he brought tablets down from the mountain or anything.

*goes off to watch MIB2 on Spielberg's reccommendation* :oldrazz:

Lol true, however they are creating there "own" version of Transformers so still having Steven Spielberg's name attached to this must count for something.

Indeed. It could've been helluva worse.

Think Superman, Nic Cage, and giant spiders. :whatever:

I hope Stevo resists the urge to replace the plasma blasters with walkie talkies.

Not for nuthin... but I think the last time I saw Stevo "giddy" about something in this way was way back when he was producing Animaniacs. Which (IMHO) is a great sign...

(I so want him to eject Michael Bay tho and take over in post production).

I think he was more giddy about animaniacs, he came out "guns drawn" in the interviews anyways. The whole AI-Minority Report-WOTW-era Spielberg was more of an experimental stage for him . . . he admitted it . . . at least with AI, & MR he did.

I dunno about "giddy." But in any case, it's funny you mention that. In more than one interview about WOTW he alluded to wanting to make a movie that was NOT Armageddon and ID4 crap.... kinda sorta dissing those movies and their cheap cartoony take on disaster and death. I hope he tries to keep that same philosophy with TF. I may not have loved WOTW, but I appreciated his effort.

After having watched Munich- with his brilliant, 1970's Drama style filming of that movie- I am fully convinced that Steven Spielberg is more than a director or filmmaker. He's a bona fide genius. The problem is that he makes me despise Michael Bay more.

Pretty nice rendering of Masterpiece Optimus. Transformation was too slow but decent try.

But we all know its too "blocky".

Yes, and it only had like a hundred moving parts. We need THOUSANDS!!!

no, i never thought that they wouldnt work, they just wouldnt be as aesthetically pleasing to the masses of cinema-going ignoramus' who NEED to see as complex an image as possible.... i understand why theve done this to the hard-core fan base, i just dont see HOW they could do it... without the original fans there would be no movie/s
