Nelson here...
The Transformers DVD...when does it come out you ask. What's it gonna have? What I can tell you is this: there will be 2 versions:
1- A regular version with no extras (just a director commentary).
2.- A multi-disc version with the movie w/ director's commentary and additional disc(s) with tons of extra stuff.
Transformers will also be available on HD-DVD and Blu-ray formats.
Yeah Eddie, not Venom, scenes were cut... and wtf? Eddie never had noble intentions if you're implying that Eddie did it for Gwen. Eddie did it for himself. He felt that Peter ruined his life and the only way to exact revenge was to ruin Peter's life.
I'd like a special edition with Welker voicing Megatron.
Wonder if the full ending with Sam and Mikela will be there (the high school scene) or if it was even filmed.
Also the 'Witwicky gene' was a gloomy and great scene, wonder if they filmed that...
SKNR.net recently interviewed Mark Ryan, the voice of Bumblebee in 'Transformers'. The actor dropped a major hint that the DVD release of the film would contain new material that sets up the sequel.
"I recently recorded more material for the DVD release of the film. It has to do with the Prequel that will set up the second film."

a new post on the Michael Bay website states that the Transformers DVD will come in two versions. Original post right here.
they'll probably wait until close to when the sequal hit theatresNo mention of an extended cut?![]()
Not specifying how many discs the multi-disc version will be made me think of awesome things(though most likely setting me up for disappointment). If it turns out to be a four disc collectors edition it should be like this:
Disc One:
Theatrical Version
Commentary By Michael Bay
DTS 5.1
Disc 2:
155 Minute(or so) Extended Version
DTS 5.1
Disc 3:
Making Of
Interviews
Pre Viz animatics
CGI Featurette
Marketing Campaign
and a whole lot more!
Disc Four:
Original Score By Steve Jablonsky
It's not direct , but very likely look at the quotes
O : I saw that 30 min preview , months ago and noticed there was a lot more comedy on it than the final cut . Why did you cut it ? The movie is funny , but could've been funnier
MB : Unfortunately it got too big . There was a lot of great and extremely funny things on it , and I really hated having to cut it , because I think comedy is gold. But u're right , there was more comedy , a great speech of John .... But all these things are going to the DVD . I couldn't use them , coz people would complain too much bout the duration . And comedy , ya know , it's the 1st thing to be cut , coz it's not essential for the story
This 30 minute preview contains scenes like
- Bumblebee helping Sam with the lady
- The Bots hiding scene
- Skorponok attacking
