yeah, I'll actually probably give it a couple more issues.

The claw thing was just so dumb. Unless thats part of his power, is to be able to Colossus size them. I don't know, we'll see.

I loved it. I have to say this was the direction they needed to go in. Ultimate X-men got so cluttered and messed up towards the end that the best thing they needed to do was to dismantle it and start over. I like that they are using new characters and so far it this has a loose connection to the old series. The setup in the first issue worked effectively and Im now alot more optimistic with where this might go

What intriques me is how Daken already has 2 mutant powers, so i came with a crazy thought:

Scarlet Witch can bend reality... Magneto is her father, he can control metal.
Wolverine got Scarlet Witch pregnant and thus we got a Wolverine who can create metal on his claws... Maybe whole bone structure, we don't know that yet.

Still if this is character driven AND not "superheroes in big action" i'm all up for it.

Daken? Has Jimmy been given a codename? Has Loeb said that this is who he is? And that would be 3 powers, not 2. He also has the accelerated healing factor

Daken is Logan's kid in 616. He is nothing like this new guy in Ultimate-verse and that's fine. As much as I enjoy Daken's madness, one of him is enough.

Yeahhhh F*** daken.... I haven't even read this whole issue yet and I already like this character better... which is saying somethin, cuz I'm not typically a fan original 'Ultimate' characters

And yeah it's 3 powers thats true too, but could the kid be Scarlet Witch's son? She can change reality... Magneto the father can bend metal and so forth, so with Wolverine + Scarlet's mutant bloodline maybe thats how Jimmy can create metal around his claws? because last time i checked having adamtium in your bones doesn't effect your sperm haha. =P

Jimmy can't be Scarlet's son since the mother supposedly died in childbirth -- unless Logan was lying... which could also be true.

I've a theory to the metal it will sound stupid but since Leob wrote Ultimates 3 I feel safe saying it lol.

The mental just could be a natural way in which his body protects his claws let's face it, his bones break so exposed bones are at more risk. It could be his body's iron say covering the bone to protect it.

Or

Weapon X altered his DNA and at a certain time adumantium is realised into his body and laces his bone like X-23.

Maybe he bonked Polaris?

She is much too young to be his mother. Remember that this takes place in the same continuity and timeline of Ultimate X-men and Polaris was a teen. She's about the same age as Jimmy. I thought the Scarlet Witch for that matter was also roughly the same age as the X-men. I figured her to be mid 20s at the oldest which would also make her too young to be Jimmy's mother.
