The comics always find a way to integrate an inside joke about their movie counterparts.

Yeah, there was that whole joke in that one issue of Uncanny where Wolverine said that Jackman kinda reminds him of himself.

I have to agree. I haven't been "happy" with Ult X-men for a while. The whole Cable thing, to me just SUX.
Funny thing is, I told Marvel I wasn't going to renew my sub. Last month I had 1 month remaining according to the mailer. This month I suddenly have 2 months remaining... hmmmm wonder how long they will keep that up?

They didn't even bother to explain the whole Cable/ Wolverine deal!

Please say it aint so! Samuel Jackson as Fury? I know it looks like him in U-X, but I have always thought Bruce Willis or Tommy Lee Jones would be so much better in that part if it came to be a movie. Fury is so the Clint Eastwood type, they really need to rethink it. Like the last guy that did that roll was David Hasslehoff, he nailed the part for me (looks wise), but the movie itself was really cheesy/corny to begin with. Maybe that was why DH got the part in the first place LOL!

i duno i think samuel jackson would be a pretty good fury, but it would all depend on what verison of him they would wanna use of course. i think they both have there advanteges

I wonder what kinda joke Bobby would say about Shawn Ashmore :p

I just read #78.

Not a bad issue, and the art has gotten a lot better. Maybe Oliver was sick with the flu or something during Date Night  And the Prof is sooo not dead. I think Cable teleported into the future WITH Charles and left a corpse for the X-Men to find. Maybe it's the Professor's actual corpse form the distant future so Wolverine would be fooled too by the scent(like Booster Gold from DC recently) When you get blown up, your body tends to get a bit more mangled than that...yes even the bones :whatever:

Nobody is ever really dead. Except maybe for Gambit. *begins weeping*

Hey. I've just began reading UXM in trades so I should be visiting this thread pretty often. Just wanted to introduce myself.

Well, it will be awhile before I get there... I've only just read the Tommorow People, which was quite good, although I preffered the first three issues to the final three.

Few questions since I haven't read Ultimate in a while (just started back reading it):

What issue did Gambit die?

Which issues are Date Night and Magnetic North?

erm we dont really know what issue gambits dies because it happens out of the comics, rogue just comes back ( i think mid way during date night) and she has gambits eyes, and it dosent even explain what happen. so i guess tht culd mean he might not be dead cos as far as i know no one has actually said "gambit is dead" i could be wrong though

Which issues are Date Night and Magnetic North?

Issues 66-68 for date night. Not sure for the others, just recently tried getting back into Ultimate X-Men and so far it's not working that great. I remember why I stopped reading the thing a while back...

And just for the record...

What the hell was that with Cyke and Jean in that arc? Just, what, they'd never been intimate before Date Night or...?

If that's the case, then, well, it's just too funny. Sure, Cyke has always had trouble communicating his deepest insecurities/fear, but physical intimacy issues???

rotflmao.

I just read Phoenix... Was alright, not the best. It does set up for latter but was a bit of a snore fest.

He was squashed by Juggs in the Ultimate Annual. We never really see his body being removed but it is mentioned that his body was taken away. We don't know to where or what was done with it.

Didn't Juggs die too?

You would think they would have brought those characters back first instead of dumb Beast. :cmad:

Like somebody else said; let Kirkman use up his time doing things we don't care about. Save the returns of Magneto, Longshot, Juggs, and Gambit for a writer who doesn't make us cry with his words.
