Cut out the fat. It's too fat. The movie's rosie o'donnel in movie form. I'd make it less chunky and have bryce replace dunst forever. It's a crime she got less screen time while we had to endure dunst smurfing around.

To make it good? I wouldn't change anything, it was already great IMO the way it was. To make it better, though, I'd probably include more Sandman scenes, including the ones with the research scientist and improve the reasoning behind the villian team up.

Either put back all the deleted scenes or completely remove Venom; he was unnecessary and didn't get the screen time he should have. I enjoyed the film very much, especially the beginning/middle but Venom just wasn't given enough time to linger. I blame that on the rabid fans campaigning for Venom to be in the third film, when it was clearly not in Raimi's vision. The personal elements: Peter, MJ, and Harry, worked extremely well.

I enjoyed the movie. I thought that it was entertaining, and better than 1 and 2. But they're was alot of back and forth going into the movie, with Harry Osborn that I didn't like or the ending story arc between Peter and harry. The Special Effects and fight scenes where great. Sandman beautiful. black Spidey and Venom awesome. I think Raimi should made the main story about harry and peter to finish that story arc. Peter should have fought harry first half of the movie as the New Green Goblin or some Goblin with Goblin mask to show he was continue his father legacy and then harry bumps his head and forgets half of his life. He stays in hospital half of movie. sandman is just a crook who is endowed with powers nothing more who distracts spider-man. Spidey day stuff still in it. Meteor hits, it gets on spidey spidey gets arrogant. keep eddie brock stuff. More Black Spidey doing things. Venom is at construction site with MJ and Sandman thinks it black spidey he goes to fight him. Spidey sees it on news goes to construction site. Battle royal until they figure out they all want spidey. (Venom does not make a pact with Sandman) Harry sees it on the news memories come back and butler tells him about what really happened and he goes to help and dies as peter's friend. Some water is thrown on Sandman or something he goes away and they seperate the symbiote from brock and arrest him it attaches to the police van and he is in a cell the black symbiote slither in on him he smiles and a piece of it goes down the hall to another inmate Cletus Kassidy. End.

Flaws: He punches sandman he goes through him, he punches him another time it doesn't. They should have explain how he gets hurt and when he feels it and when he doesn't by those scientist who revved up that machine. The cops should have spoken to them about the test they were doing. Instead of let the audience assume. And when does Sandman fly, you can't catch a wind all the time. All that mud and sand you manage to keep a necklace in your hand, are you trying to insult my intelligence. A bomb that close to Harry he should died.

didn't like: I didn't like how Topher Grace portrayed Venom. There supposed be a change, not a nerdy venom. A vicious Venom. Eddie brock was ok, but he should have been a little cooler or laid back and funny not nerdy funny. Bad casting choice (IMO). I think they cast him because he was young and looked like another toby. No reason for glen or captain stacy, and no reason to make sandman uncle ben's killer. I don't think raimi know if he wants to make this for adults or children. His goofiness was all over this movie. He does not know how to ground stuff in reality to make believeably and finish up your story arcs and get to another one. people were waiting for the revenge of Harry since Spidey 2. He dropped the ball on that story arc, which should have messed up the franchise. You have to care about your stories and characters, or you will be another X3. And it should have been another Goblin, making up characters? Night Surfer? What are we going to get in 4 the speed skater(that black character). Stop getting comic book properties and making them like they don't have a story base. It's not your movies, it Spider-man (Follow the comic books) if you had all of Peter Parkers friends in the first movie, then you would not have a problem with stories or finding stories, if you just followed the books from the beginning. 6 movies? I don't think I want to see another story, they did not give me interest to see another you have to do that at the end. You can not get the arrogant with your success, to say "Well it spider-man they will see it!" ex. Superman 3-4 and Superman Returns. Superman is bigger than a director. Spider-man is bigger than a director, humble yourself and follow the books. And in ending I would say the only battle royale I would had was in Spider-man 6 with the Sinister Six. With Special Effects Galore and ending the franchise with that. But if you kill off your villians you can't do that..... Creative Genuis(CG)

Cut out Venom, but keep Brock. Make Sandman actually interesting. Hell, his unnamed accomplice in the first film had more personality. Either that or cut him out and just make it Harry and Spider man. I'd keep the symbiote, take out the useless stuff (Like the twist) and overall just make it flow better, and just have a better consistency.

Drop Sandman and the whole 'he killed Uncle Ben' storyline.

This movie should have been 50% the Harry(Goblin)/Peter/MJ triangle and the other 50% should have been dedicated to developing the Symbiote/Brock/Venom. We would have then gotten a brag worthy Spidey movie, and an awesome trilogy.

Sandman was a complete and utter butt-**** to the franchise, and just another excuse to sell more toys.

Way too many villians. Have Venom be the main villian who keeps randomly popping up, and have GG as the secondary villians who goes into a coma, but no amnesia, please. He sounded like a damn ******!!! And no Sandman, Raimi obviously can't do him justice. He never flew or significantly changed size in the comics, so why do all that in the movie. And Spidey should never be loved by more than 5% of the public. Raimi seemed to saved all the screw ups for this movie. For SM4, I want a Kingpin gang storyline/Lizard movie. Only two main villians, one suit, and one main squeeze. And show some normal thugs for a change! He didn't fight one normal person, and that pisseed me off. Oh, and how does the symbiote put black eyeliner on you!?! What the cock was that ****!!!!!!

-MUCH more of The New Goblin/Harry Osborn (have them have 2 battles)
-Battle Royale: Spidey vs. New Goblin vs. Venom (Goblin eventually realizes he is wrong, team up and save Eddie Brock from the symbiote..he is thrown in jail with Flint Marko and Cletus Kasady)
-Less cheese scenes...(Parker dancing...not exactly funny, but not exactly horrible)

I think you are right on. SM2 explored the fact that Peter was wanting to shun being Spider-man, but at the end he embraced it. This film is about him going too far in the other direction. They should have lost Sandman, and focused more on
1. Harry's conversion into the Goblin and his attempts to destroy Peter's life and relationships.
2. The black suit and Peter's evolution to a daker side that culminates in deep regret.
3. How Peter's darkness destroys Eddie Brock's life and puts him in a position to become Venom and terrorize Peter.

That would have been a very naturally evolved story.

This movie was good... but to make it great..... here's what they should have done....

-have a scene with Jameson going to the moon again, but discovering the smybiote.... later, him and his crew are trying to land the shuttle when the symbiote trys to bond to jameson, and screws up his approach... spiderman saves the day, but the symbiote attaches itself to him

-keep sandmans origin the same... but develop his daughter situation... show how she is sick, and they can't afford the medicine and treatments... he gets thrown out of the house by his wife for being a criminal...

-have eddie brock in it.... but don't have him become venom yet... not in this movie.. save it.... have him and parker not like each other because they are both trying for the same job.....

-keep harry's part the same.... minus the amnesia.... and don't have his butler tell him about his dad... that was lame.... have him finally realize that the gas is making him insane... he stops taking it, and as it wears off, his father's vision comes to him, not as the goblin, but his father,..... telling him not to become what he was, and to love Peter because they are like brothers.....

-parker gets the black suit... and he's not emo.... he's a bad ass.... picking fights. telling off everyone...yelling at his aunt may..... also show his increaed powers and awareness..... later he hits MJ and he knows that he has to take off the suite... he finds out sonic vibrations injure it... and he goes to a church... rings the bells, and destroys most of the symbiote... some of it gets away... unknown to peter....

-sandman and spidey have a huge fight... spidey is getting his butt handed to him... when harry shows up.... harry isn't as powerful as before, because he's stop using the gas... he gets knock off his glider... and as sandman approaches for the kill... harry, pulls a string of pumpkin bombs.... and kills himself... and turns sandman into glass..... peter screams..... peter is furious.. he's about to smash sandman into a thousand pieces when sandmans duaghter shows up, and begs spiderman not to kill her father.... that he's a good man, just misguided....... spiderman decides not to kill him, and sandman is taken away, but forever locked in his glass prison....

-MJ doesn't get involved in the last battle...

-MJ and Peter get engaged...

and towards the end, Peter gets his job... and Eddie Brock is let go.... Eddie, depressed, goes to church to find strength from god... as he's praying, the symbiote drops on him... screen turns black, and all you hear is a scream...

-last scene is Peter and MJ visting Harry's grave.....
