OFFICIAL Wolverine and The X-men Gallery Thread

Dude, get over it. You have to acknowledge that Cyke is a human being and he has flaws. He's not a bad character but flawed.

As much of a loner as Wolverine is, he's always remained an X-man. He's never lost faith in Xavier and his dream. And no matter what ******** happens, he's always there to support and back everyone up, as well as doing the dirty jobs no one else will do.

Cyke's flaws make him human, an element of storytelling that Marvel utilized to revolutionize the comic market.

Wolverine may have started that way, but he's long since become a ridiculous super-soldier that spouts "cool" lines, kills people in "cool" fashions, and is generally portrayed as superior to every being in the Marvel universe.

Wolverine being "taller" is no big deal. Every cartoon he has been in and a lot of comic artists draw him as far taller than 5' 3'' listed in Handbooks and trading cards from years back. Marvel may as well officially make him taller and claim no one noticed. Or bring in Mephisto to explain it. ;)

He's still shorter than Cyclops and a few other characters, so that is fine. I'm all for nitpicking, but Logan's height seems to be a petty one.

I can understand this viewpoint. Logan's a cool character but his tremendous popularity has not always done his characterization any favors. It didn't help Venom, either, who quickly imploded due to fame.

I get miffed when it seems that Wolverine is propelled at the expense of other characters, which IMO happens too often.

If Wolverine looks taller in those picks, its because he's wearing boots with thick soles and lifts :p .

Yeah, like I said, a "taller" Wolverine is hardly worth noting. I mean, seriously, I would argue it is about time Marvel's Handbooks got with the 30+ year trend and just made his official height about 5' 10'' or so. Most artists draw him about that tall anyway.

He's taller in every cartoon so far, so it's no big. Lifts or not. :word:

Actually if you look at him next to certain characters, he is shorter in Evolution.

Yeah, I know. In EVOLUTION Logan was maybe a half inch shorter than Storm in some panels. But, in all honesty, Logan's height has never been a major concern to me. :)

Put this in your sig Dread.

Sammy Pare is nowhere to be seen, BUT THE ACTOR HAS A PICTURE ON IMDB AND COLOSSUS DOES NOT!

Someone screen-capped Colossus' .5 second appearance in the trailer? Cool.

Frankly, I'd feel more hopeful about the Russkie's place in the show if he was part of that latest action teaser Marvel.com posted. He isn't. Friggin' Angel was there, but he wasn't.

No, thankfully, he wasn't. Technically, neither was Rogue.

Rogue's gotten play elsewhere though so we know she's got a decent part in it.

the colossus pic isn't a screencap, hehe.

It looks a bit childlike.... but I suppose he'll look better on screen.

I know. I don't fear for Rogue's involvement. She's a lock. Aside for Wolverine, Rogue and Beast seemed to show up the most in the 90's cartoon and I doubt they'll be neglected here. Rogue was arguably the main character for much of Evolution, after all. And I didn't mind because they created the best version of her.

Again, no longtime B-List X-Man has gotten shafted by never being part of the main cast as badly as Colossus. Storm's been on the main cast of 3 cartoons (including this one) and Nightcrawler one (soon to be two), but nothin' for the big metal man. This show will need to do a lot to convince me Piotr isn't there for his usual "2 episode or less" cameo.

New pics:

that looks so much like rogue in X men 1. I love it.

Anyone think Emma is just a jean substitute? personally I'd rather see Jean if they are going to do the same things with the character.

definetly Emma is there because Jean's abbsence, but that doen't mean she will act like Jean. They are two different characters.

I hope they make Emma justice.

In some of these shots, it looks like Kitty's wearing jeans that came straight from the 60's. :P I like it.

Emma being a Jean substitute sort of shaped her character in the Astonishing X-Men comics; feeling the way she did about Scott without ever being able to live up to the memory of his dead wife, which you have to admit, must really suck.

Colossus looks like he belongs in a kiddie cartoon. Hope that changes, besides that all the other pics look cool.

Jean never flaunted her sexuality around like currency like Emma does.

The other thing, everyone used to think that Jean was a boring useless character outside of the Phoenix.
