OFFICIAL Wolverine and The X-men Gallery Thread

Liberation Entertainment will release a DVD in November of Wolverine and the X-Men, though it might just be the first few eps.

my problem with this Juggernaut is that he looks way smaller then the Hulk they have shown. Juggernaut IMO should be at least the same size, if not bigger than Hulk. and Cykes blast should never be able to even phase him

they only showed a headshot of hulk though

Can anyone please post a full pic of Iceman and Hulk.

Thanks in advance.

I dont think those are in proportion with each other, especially Mag's head.

as I've said, it seems Avalanche could eat Magneto's head without a problem....

that's a mistake in the paint, I think.

Anyone else think Domino seems out of place in that image? Has it been confirmed that she's s brotherhood member for real?

And does anyone else find themselves a little bored looking at the X-Men group picture? I mean, not to say that they're boring characters, but with them all standing there in costumes with the same color palette, they seem a little bland to me. Throw in a Psylocke with a little purple or jam Rogue in there with her green or something.

Dude, not a smart thing to ask here.

It's called the internet, use it.

We can't really give out download links and stuff.

But you know, the English pilot debuts on YTV I think on the 6th of September.

whats up with Avalanche
he is hella huge, when I first saw this I thought maybe it was suppose to be Juggernaut

Yeah, the dimensions are off here. You could see his foot underneath Toad like he's way behind them all except for Blob who must apparently be pretty short if he's behind Avalanche. Which is funny cuz he was friggin' huge in that trailer.

While we're nitpicking designs, I'm not a fan of Rogue's "anime eye which is drawn through the hair lock" thing. Is her hair loose-leaf? I hate that design choice in some anime and it is a little annoying they decided to go the Joe Mad route and ape it here.

Magneto's high heels are also a little silly. Only pirates can get away with that, and he's no pirate. Going with Kubert's Toad design for Ultimate X-Men is cool, though.

Wolverine looks fine, which he should. It's HIS show after all. :)

Least we'll finally get to see characters like Dust and Domino make major contributions, for those who actually like them (I don't). I'm still preturbed by the lack of Colossus in a lot of stuff, but I'm getting used to the idea. It isn't the first or last time he's shafted in an X-Men cartoon. Hopefully when they truck him out 1-2 times a season for token guest shots, he at least gets more of a moment than throwing Wolverine.

(For those who claim, "Colossus is in promotional material", I need only state that AVENGERS: UNITED THEY STAND promoted Captain America and Iron Man heavily in promotional material and in the intro animation, and they each guest starred in only 1 episode. Promotion has nothing to do with appearance, sometimes.)

Juggernaut looks a little top-heavy, but fine. I'm looking forward to the Hulk fight here more than in the DTV. This show will at least have more context, and thus the fight will have more meaning than a simple smack-down. It represents a shift to X-Men cartoons; usually they don't allow non-X or mutant superhumans in, because some could say it complicates things. Many people don't understand why the world hates mutants but usually embraces non-mutant superhumans, who often are more powerful than many mutants. There's good reasons for this but most cartoons haven't wanted to complicate things.

I must say I'm not looking forward to time travel or aliens again. Those are annoying distractions to the themes of the X-Men, that get rehashed endlessly. Mojo's a crap villain. When I tune in to watch mutant heroes fight for a world that hates and fears them, interdimensional TV warriors is glaringly distracting. I liked how EVOLUTION kept things grounded more. No aliens. Alternate dimensions or time travel were used very, very sparingly. The 90's show set the standard, but often got carried away with aliens and time travel where the themes of the X-Men were sometimes lost in the cosmic mire.

I get that aliens, time travel, and alternate dimensions are all part of the X-Men mythos. I simply see those parts as an annoying tumor that often are used as excuses to negate any character or franchise growth, and removing them truly shows what a writer is made of. Not just anyone can write the X-Men.

Colossus has about the same amount of screentime in the first episode as Dust, and he has more lines.

As well he should, being around some 35 years. :o

Anyway, good to know.

I feel the same exact way. It's my main gripe about X-Men. I love X-Men, but not time travel, alien B.S.!!!

This is why I think I liked Evolution more. It's also why I hate Cable so much.

I have nothing against aliens and time travel on its own, but I don't want to see it in my X-Men.

Me as well. Rachel, Cable, and Bishop are my 3 least favorite characters. I hate the Shi'ar (cept for Deathbird (but only during Operation Zero Tolerance and immediately after (guess I can include liking Bishop at that time too))). I hate aliens and time travel and space and alternate crap (except I loved the first 40 issues of Ult. X-Men, and AoA is classic, and Mutant X was cool for awhile).

Do we know how much of that is taking place in this show? Or are we only saying that because of the clip with Mojo at the end of the trailer? (There better not be X-babies in this thing!)

The time travel plot comes in at the end of the third episode. It's not so bad, but I hope they don't forget to explain how Xavier can use Cerebro to communicate to the past. And also what's the catalyst that causes all the destruction. Is Xavier really helping or causing this terrible future to happen? Unclear.

I miss Pyro and Sabertooth here to be a part of the brotherhood. Can someone, who saw the first episodes, say what is with Pyro. Is he with the X-Men or he didn't even show up? There was some kid in the trailer that shot some fire from a hellicopter... was that Pyro?

I am so looking forward to Wolverine And The X-Men, as I hated Evolution, enjoyed Pryde Of The X-Men, and am a big fan of Fox Kid's X-Men. Now that Rogue is weaker, I am glad to see my fave female X-Man Kitty Pryde is in the show. I started reading Chris Claremont's Uncanny X-Men with their 1975 debut in Giant Size X-Men. I am glad that My fave X-Villains...The Brotherhood of Mutants looks like it will be a powerhouse with Juggernaut, Magneto, Mystique, Blob, Domino et al. I hope that Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch switch sides, and become heroes,as they did in the mid 70's, after they realize Magneto was not their Father.

TheVileOne, Does Jean Grey return to The X-Men?

Pyro:

He's in the first episode as one of the mutants Wolverine and Beast free from the MRD facility. He assists with the escape, but he disappears after that. I think he decides to go to Genosha.

Jean.

She goes "missing" after the explosion early in the first episode. Where she is, we have no idea. Emma hints that she can find her. Due to one of the episode titles later into the show, "Shades of Grey" one might predict this episode has something to do with Jean.
