Sequels Was Wolverine: Origins really that bad?!! (Spoiler)

Origins did try in parts to keep continuty like in X2 stryker says Logan volunteered for the experiment and in Origins they gave him a reason to volunteer so its not like they totally ignored the previous movies.

Although there are bits in Origins that don't add up with the OT and even stuff like sabertooth jumping out of the way of cyclops beam in X1 probably wasn't in mind when making Origins.

Yeah they mention the volunteering part, but then everything else about how it plays out is extremely different (and not for the better).

Also the reason that they gave him for volunteering was poorly-written and nonsensical.

If Agent Zero was handed the magic bullet prior to being sent that would have helped a little bit. Forgetting to give the mutant marksman the only way to stop him was just really stupid.
the magic bullet was more of a last resort, as well as Stryker wouldn't want to give up his only way to protect himself

If anything tho, I'd probably question why they didn't make more

but, I always got the impression that Stryker didn't want Agent Zero to kill Wolverine just slow him down... his plan was to get him to fight X-11 (aka Deadpool) as a test

the only reason he tricked Logan into the program in the first place was to test to see if he (or someone with his powers) could survive it

the plan was always just to give his DNA in the Pool, but farther more he wanted/needed prove that his X-11 was superior... as a controllable war
