They were in the Blue team together. They were never really written as close until Claremont wrote them in X-treme. Apparently he had a crush on her back when she was modelling and she died saving his life from Vargas. When they reunited after she was resurrected he licked her on the face, so they seemed pretty close then

I have no memory of this.

Uncanny X-Men #460. Betsy came back a few issues prior, the team immediately went on a dinosaur adventure in the Savage Land where Rachel temporarily turned into a lizard, and they finally made it home in #460. Beast gave Betsy an examination to make sure she's the real thing, and he licked her supposedly as a way to use his advanced senses for confirmation.

That's also the issue where Juggernaut and Nocturne come back from the Mojoverse after getting sucked into the the blackhole in Other Xorn's head at the end of Austen's run.

I remember Lila popped up at the end of X-Treme X-Men. She transported everyone back to New York.

Last I remember seeing her was in the Christmas issue of adjectiveless before M-Day when she popped up giving a concert for the students, and could be seen making out with Cannonball in the background, so maybe they could use their relationship if they ever bring her back.

Here's hoping Lila pops up in New Mutants, then. God knows Cannonball has been strangely absent from Uncanny ever since he, Karma, and Dani went to a bar back in #501(?). Was he even in Utopia?

yeah, but he made the typical Fraction appearance. He was seen showing up with the New Mutants in Exodus, standing behind Dani

Looks like they're fighting a could of Morlocks who died at the end of the Mutant Massacre. The big guy in the back is Berzerker and the lizard is Scaleface.
