Tonight I'm gonna go see the NY Dolls and then gonna go see my friend's band perform uptown..... I SWEAR TO GOD I'M LIVING LIKE A ****ING GOD!!!!!!


And Yes I will be seeing the NY Dolls perform live.

Well he is pretty old but then again most of the originators of Punk are old now..... I wasn't born when these guys were at CBGB's during that whole movement... and I would have given anything to have been there.... so sure they're aged... but I love their music enough to wanna see them play live.... goes for anyone of these bands..... if they ever got back together... Velvet Underground, MC5.... the granddaddy's of Punk.

I remember my dad drove us to the stadium, then drove back home blaring KISS from his speakers as loud as he could, to show the world "that he liked real music from real people who could really sing without lipsync-ing".

along those lines, my friend saw Sonic Youth about 8 or 9 years ago and came away from the concert calling them "Sonic Middle Aged"


but then, i saw Wire when they reformed in, i think '99, and they were amazing.

I have David Johansen's old piano. Actually it was Cyrinda Foxe's, so both Johansen and Steven Tyler (as well as other musical notables) played it. Mia Tyler learned to play on it. I got it from Cyrinda before she died.
