Wow. So do you think Nolan and Ledger met and talked about him being Batman OR him being The Joker in one of the future films?

Wow! 2003? perhaps Nolan has more of a long term game plan in mind than he's letting on. It also lends credence to the idea that the third movies script is already written.

thats pretty cool if it was for joker, but i think Ledger was actually in the running for Bats himself, remember reading his name in an article of potential batmen in TIME magazine which featured Jake Gyllenhaal, Guy Pierce, Joshua Davis, and of course Bale.
