Technically mortal Snowbird could transform into anyone or anything, while Immortal was restricted to Canada. She possibly could even become Hulk, but that doesn't matter when you can trasnform into Wendigo and especially Tanaraq.

I don't know. I should note that I didn't actually read the one-shot because I'm against reading comics in the shop and I knew I wasn't gonna spend $5 on a couple of pages of Omega Flight and a bunch more pages of inconsequential bull****, so I may just be confusing myself.

well, i picked it up, and it's clearly mike pointer. there's literally like 6 pages dedicated to the book explaining how and why it's pointer. if it's not, then i don't know what's going on. there must be some kind of HUGE communication failure between bendis and oeming...i don't know. the book says it's pointer. maybe oeming mistyped or something?

I guess. Again, I don't know the deal because the series hasn't even started and all that, but the dude who killed the last incarnation of Alpha Flight playing dress-up as Guardian screams "lame" to me on a purely instinctive level. Still, it's Oeming and it's got Beta Ray Bill and Julia Carpenter, so I'm down.

The scene is pretty wonky though. I assume he'll be Guardian because 'Quatch pulls out the costume, but he never says he'll be Guardian or whatever, just that he would be part of the team. Whatever, this got me less excited about the book, way to backfire Marvel.
