Once Upon A Time In Wonderland

Question: Any chance we’ll be seeing the Jabberwock on Once Upon a Time in Wonderland? I just can’t imagine Alice in Wonderland without it. —Estee
Ausiello: And there won’t be an Alice in Wonderland without it. “You will see the Jabberwock” in the second half of the season, Eddy Kitsis promises.

these episodes have been getting pretty good. Love the fact we can now assume that Jane Austen's novels take place in Victorian England as well.. with that Mr. Darcy nod

Was I mistaken or just hearing things but was there a Last Mimzy reference in tonite's episode?? It is Disney (isn't it??) and there was a connection with Alice in it.

Nope, Mimzy is Warner Bros

Keck's Exclusives: Barbara Hershey Heads to Wonderland
by William Keck

Here's one reason to celebrate ABC's decision to stick with its struggling Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. The spin-off has just closed a deal with Barbara Hershey to reprise her popular Once Upon a Time role as Cora, The Queen of Hearts.

Even though Cora met her demise on Once, where she made life hell for everyone including her daughter Regina, executive producers Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz stated over the summer their intentions to introduce the character into Alice's Wonder world.

For now, Hershey is scheduled to appear in just one March episode — the series' 11th hour. Besides tangling with Alice, I'm just hoping for a face-off between Cora and Jafar, played by Hershey's real-life former beau, Naveen Andrews.

Let the games begin!

Thats exciting! But I wonder why ABC is stretching out Wonderland? We have 13 episodes right?

I really love this show and I'll be sad when it gets canceled. All of the characters are awesome!

If they've let it go on this long, I'm betting they just let the season play out.

For me this is really show for the villains.Jafar and red queen are reasons to watch.

Cora returing in flashback Is good news.

I guess then show will return In march.I was worried ABC might burn off remaining episodes off during summer.

I've tried to keep up with it but my interest is waning. I haven't seen the last two episodes yet... it feels so plodding at times. Hopefully the last two episodes are going to be an improvement.

I think it's steadily improved. This last episode was great.

I'm really hoping that when this ends, they bring Jafar over to ONCE. And I really need them to introduce Aladdin,Jasmine,Genie (their genie, blue and all)

Finally was ablt to catch up to this season. I agree that if this gets canceled and its a shame that it probably will they need to bring over Naveen Andrews because he plays Jafar pretty well.

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland had no business being on Thursday night.

At the Television Critics Association winter press tour Friday, ABC entertainment president Paul Lee expressed regret that he didn’t stick to his original plan and air the spin-off on Sundays at midseason, bridging the gap between the fall and spring runs of Once Upon a Time.

“I should’ve done that,” he said. “In retrospect, I think it would’ve done better there and I should’ve stuck with the earlier idea. I totally take responsibility for that.” A decision on a second season is TBD.
No **** Sherlock.

Yeah I think we all know that what they did was a Mistake should've gone with that Early Idea. I Doubt it gets a 2nd season but if it does than they should bridge the gap next year.

My interest in it waned to the point I don't think I'll finish where I left off. Especially if it's looking this unlikely to get a second season.

Finally! I really enjoy this show and have been anticipating it's return! It sucked not having an official date.

Gotta say, i really enjoyed the latest episode (poor liz),

also after doing some research, (ive actually never read the two Alice books...) but I never knew that there were 2 DIFFERENT worlds that Alice visited... "Wonderland" and "Looking glass land" I always assumed "Looking Glass Land" was also just wonderland.

It seems the show has gone this route...

I'm excited to see Cora's return coming soon... Wonderland in the books of course is indeed ruled by the queen of hearts, while looking glass land, has several kingdoms... including the Red King and Queen, and the White King and Queen... (for those of you who originally thought Red Queen and Queen of Hearts were the same person originally.

just some fun tidbits

This show has been awesome, I've honestly preferred it over the main show this season.

I almost thought that guy in the bar or whatever it was was Abis Mal. I'd actually like to see him pop up

Bringing this comment over from the Once thread:
The last episode of OUaTiW that I watched before tonight's episode was 'Who's Alice?', and while I was somewhat confused as to what was going on, I really enjoyed it, particularly the revelation that Jafar's former partner Amara (whose essence now inhabits his staff) is Cyrus' mother (and the mother of the other two genies Jafar and she were searching for and that Jafar now has in his possession) and the pretty strong implication that Anastasia is Cinderella/Ashley Boyd's stepsister (which I don't think anyone would've guessed).

I'm really looking forward to seeing Barbara Hershey reprise her role as Cora next week, and to seeing the OUaTiW characters in Storybrooke. I'm also hoping that we'll get further info in terms of the timeline of OUaTiW in relation to the timeline of OUaT Season 2 (we already know that Down the Rabbit Hole occurred concurrently with portions of the events of Broken).

The mythology about the wells and magical waters that run through every land was a nice touch since storybrooke has established its own well.

The guardian of the well was friggin creepy too

Reminded me of Tia Dalma from Pirates of The Caribbean and the little girl from The Ring

Reminded me of Tia Dalma from Pirates of The Caribbean

Now that you mention it, the Well Guardian did look kind of like Tia Dalma. :)

JOOC, do we know why the announcement that the show would be longer than 13 episodes but less than 22 episodes ended up not coming to fruition?

I want this every year damn it. They needa do Once Upon a Time in Neverland, Once Upon a Time in Oz, Once Upon a Time in Agrabah etc etc.
