Yeh, but why would a skrull take the time to replace a simple old lady of all people he COULD be...lol..???

If it made sense, then who cares if it's a movie tie-in? But Marvel couldn't even make the appearance of the Black suit MAKE SENSE.

Again, doesn't take much to impress you. "Wow, shiny dark black suit! Is pretty!"

Heh. :oldrazz: :whatever:

I didn't say I was impressed by his change to a black suit.

Stop putting words in my mouth.

No, SIAT. Minus Tony/Peter, EVERY scene that is in One More Day part 1 can be MATCHED UP almost VERBATIM with a scene from the last 6 months of a BIB issue. There is nothing new about this storyline other than the fact that it's clear that Peter wants to have sex with Aunt May. It's the only explanation... :oldrazz:

Obviously.

Jealousy would imply that it pisses me off that you have enjoyment from reading Spidey. On the contrary, I get enjoyment from reading your posts... it's like when a kid brings you a drawing of something that makes no sense, yet you smile and nod at their hard work anyway, even knowing it's crap. That's the enjoyment you bring me, SIAT. So don't be all jealous. :oldrazz:

Well, I've got the issues in front of me and I don't really see anything VERBATIM about Back In Black and One More Day. The woman is old and took a bullet. She's going to be in the hospital for a while, haha.

And, dude...I was kidding with you. If you want to insult me over having a different opinion of a comic book, by all means...go to town. Hahaha. The fact of the matter is that I have enjoyment from the books. I don't waste my time making threads and writing about how Joe Quesada should be fired and he's ruining Spider-Man. Because, so far, you and the other posters here have done such a WONDERFUL job over the years complaining about the guy and HE'S STILL EDITOR IN CHIEF!! :wow: I could see where maybe complaining about it day in and day out would get him fired or have something change. But it doesn't, now does it?

I said almost verbatim. To put it more simply for you: Peter wanting to do anything to save May, her in the hospital, MJ and Peter's "what are we going to do?" speeches, etc... have been dragged out for over 6 months. And thanks to more delays, it looks like it's gonna be even more time spent on the SAME OLD ****.

And no, it doesn't change anything. If anything, Spidey stories have gotten worse. But at least your posts will always stay the same. :)

Actually mate, it did get explained.

JMS wrote Peter's entire inner monologue, and reasoning in part one of BIB. I think it carried on for a bit afterwards though.

Look, I don't believe that these guys always do the best for Spidey, and I actually went through a phase of making a stance and not buying ASM because of JQ/JMS, but you can't go around making things up.

The reasoning was strong, it was in a very heavy storyline, and served a purpose. If you don't agree with Pete, that's fine, I've disagreed with him plenty of times over the 25 odd years I've been following his exploits.

But if you're going to complain, that doesn't make any sense. What I'll ***** about is, after the WHOLE BIB fiasco, with the entire reasoning of him going back to his black threads, as soon as OMD starts, his back in the red and blues!!??? After all of that emo behaviour from Pete, getting deep into WHY he has to wear the black threads, he RANDOMLY goes back into the old suit???

Not THAT's a complaint. ;)

I agree. If the return of the black suit was to show his mood and how he's handeling the situation, then he should have carried the black suit until the end of OMD and the resolution of Aunt May's condition, and if they really wanted Peter to get his original suit in this issue, at little a line of monologue to explain why he did it wouldn't be much...the sad thing it's that in one sense it shows that peter getting his black suit was just a big movie tie-in...

It made no sense in that it was explained BADLY. Peter was, dare I say, in a worse mood when he thought he was the clone. He HIT MJ, for chrissake. During that time he "became the Spider", he was dark, brooding, hateful and EMO before there was a word for EMO. That should have given him greater cause to wear the black suit then. Instead we get this "Oh, I'm so sad and mad so I'll wear the Black suit to show how far I'll go to hurting people and break laws to find out who shot Aunt May."

If anyone here is making things up, it's JQ & Co. They make up **** left and right and disregard all kinds of continuity just to "make things fit". Black suits that have been webbed up in hiding for years, Peter unmasking for the "greater good", Peter carrying on over May as if she were his wife instead of MJ, Peter breaking laws left and right, Peter dying and coming out of coccoons, Peter turning into a poor man's Wolverine with those absurd spikes, Peter developing powers he ALREADY HAD, Peter KILLING and EATING people's heads, Gwen Stacy having sex with Norman Osborn and giving birth to his children without Peter EVER KNOWING A THING, and MJ totally LYING to him for YEARS....

Need I go on? Jesus Christ! JQ, JMS, etc ought to have their heads examined for the amount of complete ridiculousness that they've brought into Spider-Man's world in the last 6 years.

And of course, the amount of hype surrounding the Black suit for MONTHS... only to have him go back to Red & Blue with NO explanation whatsoever.

The reasoning was not strong and no, it did not serve a purpose. Oh, it did serve one purpose: $$$$$$.

:whatever:

Y'know, to me, that sounds like Spider-Man is a comic book character.

My point is, ridiculousness of that kind has been happening in every comic out there for the past half century. Pointless crossovers and resurrections and clones, it's nothing new. Just reading Spider-Man's "history" in the last ASM can show you that much.

I'm not saying it's a good thing. Just saying, if it angers you so, you probably should've gotten out of comics 30, 40 years ago. It's nothing new. I doubt it will ever end. And it certainly won't end just because Joe Quesada isn't EIC anymore.

Personally, it doesn't "anger" ME in any way that they sudden'y switched him back into red & blue......and i DO find it strange that now in OMD he isn't STILL wearing the black. (Considering, he is still hurting and angry over Aunt May-that point hasn't changed)

Plus, we LOVE the black suit (or I do anyway:woot: ) and it would've been nice to see Pete in it a couple more issues too, presently in OMD, and would've made sense to keep him in it till things are resloved in OMD, one way or another.

That point alone, makes BIB very gimmicky...imo...

But it is what it is now.

So if you really REALLY dislike what's going on. Why are you even here? Why keep discussing and exposing yourself to something that YOU KNOW you are not going to like?

You're way less fun than Paladin was.

does a message board only nee to be about things you like? Couldn't it be interesting to see opinions from people who don't agree with you ?

Of course not. Everybody has a right to express their opinions. But there are people who seem to believe their opinions to be "fact" and anybody who doesn't share that opinion with them are automatically stupid.

Or as USMC likes to put it, "It doesn't take much to impress you". Now he says this because I have a well thought out opinion on why I enjoy the books. Does a message board have to have that? Somebody who can't take someone having a different opinon than them?

People can dislike Spider-Man all day long if they want. It's their own lives their wasting complaining about something that, is obviously, not going to change to the way they want things.

The writers should at least put some effort to explain why he is back in the red and blue. Is that too much to ask?

But it is what it is now.

I think the reason Peter's no wearing the black costume is because he's no longer out seeking vengeance. He's out seeking hope and help.

the first issue was okay...let's hope there's something unpredictable about this.

Maybe you're wasting your life enjoying the books. Stop expressing your opinion of wether or not we waste our lives disliking the books as if it were fact.

sheesh, pot. kettle. black. :whatever:

I just got out of the hospital, after reading OMD I started having projectile vomiting fits and violent diarreah. My nurse said she had seen alot of this and exepted it to get worse as the arc progresses.

Yeh, but why would a skrull take the time to replace a simple old lady of all people he COULD be...lol..???
Why? Because anyone who knows anything about Parker knows how deeply he cares about his aunt. If you control the aunt, you control Spider-Man... =/

No, and, as it's been made glaringly obvious over the past few days, you're not funny in the least.

Sorry, I thought this was a Spidey thread, not a which-poster-sucks-the-most thread.
