One More Day Discussion Thread

You wouldn't know a good story if it ran away with your pot.

Nope, pot makes me run faster. The paranoia and all.

What the **** are you smoking that's making you paranoid? To quote the great philosopher Katt Williams "There are 3 side effects to smoking pot, hungry, happy, sleepy."

Nope. I'm the old ThorneFox or maybe the NEW ThorneFox.

Who the hell is Ice-Man?

he was Spiderman's roommate during Spider-man and his amazing friends

Noo, that's a different spelling than the Iceman who appeared in that cartoon.

Besides, if I'm anybody, it's Spider-Man. He loves Mary Jane too.

"As a result of the dramatic events of One More Day, orders of hardcover and digest collections of "Spider-Man loves Mary Jane" have skyrocketed as have sales of the ongoing series. It currently is #3 on Diamond's Top 100 list."

That would be hilarious. Joe Q seems to think Spider-Girl sales somehow equate to support for the marriage, though. We should all buy two copies of the next issue just to **** with him.

My name is Peter Parker and years ago I made a deal that I will live to regret. Now in the prescense of great evil I transform into the Spirit of Vengeance....I am the Ghost Swingger
Oo! Ands he'll have flaming web! I love it.

In other news Mephisto is at it again as he strikes a deal with Popeye to disolve his marriage to Olive Oyl to save the life of Poopdeck Pappy after a run in with Brutus.
"We didnt want to age Popeye with a divorce and make him completely unrelatable."

Harsh.

(Chuckle)

I give it two more days before Slott comes out and explains that he in fact did not write this and demanded that his taken off of the book to no avail.

*checks watch*

*clears throat*

Ahem.

Less then half a day later...

I wrote it!

And counting a spot on both covers, the writer's credit in the credit box, the "Spidey's Brain Trust" credit in the credit box, and a tip o' that hat credit on the double page John Romita Jr. feature (which is very sweet, btw), I've had my name put on this thing FOUR times! FIVE if your count the varient! :) And if I'm proud of each and every place it appears!

Everyone's worked VERY hard on this issue-- and we're all proud of it!

BTW, it's not macking. It's "macking". Pete knows he can't get away with even thinking it. Even in his head it's ironic. These things: "", they're called quotation marks. Really. :) I dunno... maybe it's me, but something's telling me that some people aren't reading these pages with an open mind. ;)

All well and good, Dan. I just don't like it. I'm sure it'll go over in a huge way, but you can't please everyone, right?

By the way, I've been reading on other sites that people will be boycotting this because of that first splash page. People are genuinely upset (or seem to be) that Pete is cheating on MJ with that club skank.

Dan: But he's not cheating because the marriage never happened. Holding a guy to vows that he never took is kind of an absurdly high standard, isn't it?

PJ: Technicalities. :o

Corp, stop pretending you're going to read this or even enjoy what you see online just because Slott's around. :o

Where did I ever say I was gonna read it or enjoy anything? I gave the exact same sentiment about Peter kissing that skank a few pages back:
I think the Parker luck thing was meant to be er, uh... what's the word... ironical or somesuch. Seriously, he talks about the Parker luck and then cuts back to a point where a guy in a Spider-Man mask is tarnishing his good name by mugging people. That's the Parker luck, not the fact that he's cheating on MJ with some ho.
I'm just making my usual lame and unsolicited jokes.

Didn't you just say that it's ridiculous to think that way? Like, two posts ago?
