Ending of One More Day?

As many times as it takes dammit!

For you to stop asking how many times it's going to be posted.

This post has been labeled: LAME.

P.S. Manga sucks, it's a cult thing, like horror comics are, get over it.

No, bad logic is letting a CEO force you to break up a fictional marriage that's been in print for 20 years.

See, I don't think movies are really going to inspire anyone to read comics. How many people do you know who saw Spider-Man or X-Men or even Road to Perdition or A History of Violence and then, knowing they're based on comics/graphic novels, went out and read them? ****, how many people do you know who've seen movies based on plain old books and gone out to read the books afterwards?

I love comic books now. I never really read them as a kid, but I loved Batman TAS, and the Spider-man and X-men cartoons. I loved the burton batman flms as well. Being a fan of these tv shows, I always got excited when comic book movies came out. Seeing thses movies has inspired me to start reading comics. After watching batman begins, I went and bought DKR and year one. Between Spider-man 2 and 3, I began buying ultimate spider-man trades, as well as essential spider-man. Not to long before spider-man 3 came out, I added Amazing and Sensational to my pull list. Seeing the X-men movies inspired me to read Astonishing, as well as the essentials.

I have a good friend who was never really interested in comic books. He really liked Wolverine in the x-men movies, and began reading Wolverine tpbs. A lot of my friends began reading comic books to gain a better understanding of characters from comic based movies that they enjoyed.

Right now, I'm living in Italy and can't find any comics in english. When I return to the states, however, I plan on reading the killing joke, long halloween, dark victory, and arkham asylum to prepare myself for the dark knight. :brucebat: :joker: :batty: :batman:

As for movies based on plain old books, a lot of the books i read as a kid i chose to read after liking a movie based on the book

Me?

My interest in comics as a kid was always wavering, but I got back into them after seeing the Spider-Man movies.

You and your friends are a remarkably well-read exception to the rule, I'm afraid. Whenever my friends watch a comic book movie, the only thing it inspires them to do to get a better understanding of the characters is ask me a bunch of stupid questions. :o

Yeah, that always a blast. You get bombarded with questions for an hour, and when you ask, "Why don't you just read the book? I'll lone you some issues," you get, "Nah, comics are kinda dumb, dude." :(

What other choice, exactly, did JMS have? It's a job. Joey Q is the boss. This isn't Office Space.

He's leaving after this arc anyway. He could've pushed up his departure to before OMD if he really felt that strongly about it.

After all the Hype surrounding his last arc, he probably just didn't want to cast a negative light on the book or Marvel in general.

I'll just be honest with you and say that I will never get around to checking your band out. Thanks, though.

Ugh...I hate how mediocre Pavement is, and how everyone eats it up. Other then that, that list is pretty ****ing good.

Wow, Joy Division's still on top 20 lists? And the Smiths? Impressive.

Of the relatively new artists on there, the Arcade Fire and Sleater-Kinney are the ones I've heard and enjoyed most. It should, of course, be taken for granted that the Pixies are awesome, as well.

The Hold Steady are currently the most played of all those bands on my iPod right now.

Never heard of 'em. I never know about new bands because I don't listen to music on the radio. Usually I'll just hear someone talk about a band, look them up, and see if I like them. That's how I expand my musical repertoire.

(I had said they'd have to reset the Marvel Universe,.. and they've been doing it in pieces. - This is the latest "Piece.")

What are some other pieces? I don't remember anything else being reset.

Bendis has promised that won't be the case, and I believe him on major characters like Iron Man, who's more interesting as a morally gray power-monger with the best intentions. For others... who knows? Marvel and its creators have outright lied to fans before.
