preview of "one more day" SPOILERS

Is it just me or does IM's hands look a little too big on the second panel?

Wow, they really are dumbing down Tony just to make Spider-Man look like he stands a chance. Seriously, 'Full power uni-beam' is not a giant flashlight...it would have incinerated Parker...and what ever happened to the armors/extremis spider-sense Tony now has. ugh...well i'm sure Spider-fanboys are loving that.

Am I the only one sick enough to think that that page looks like they are having mid-air sex?

He was getting them ready for the forced perspective shot 2 panels later.:o To all the people asking who the artist is and didn't read the article, it's none other than your favorite Marvel EiC doing the pencilling chores. It kinda looks like he got some influence from the Jusko's, though.

Size matters:dry::up:!

Well, like I said, Tony apparently really, really likes to tackle Peter.

I never understood why tony's armor has an ass.

How else is he going to poo in the middle of battle? Look at those panels, those clenched, GIANT fists...he's obviously pooing even as we speak.

Doesn't he use the methane it produces to power his jet boots?

That is a pretty good teaser.

I was a bit unsure about this but its got my attention now.

I dont mind the art, except the fists thing.

The art could've been better and it doesn't look terribly interesting.

The Iron Man that they are peddling now is not the Iron Man that has existed in Marvel all these years. There's no doubt about it. If Doom did the things that Tony did no one would bat an eye.

Tony's a flawed character, he's got his good traits and some not so good one's, but at the end of the day he's always been a fundamentally good person. Whenever he acted in a more morally gray manner, like faking his death and not telling his friends for instance, it was at least understandable from his position why he was doing what he did. Tony's a jerk, there's no doubt about it, he has a tendency to become self-absorbed and forget that other people have feelings. But he's also tried to do the right thing and its been partly that struggle against his own lesser nature that's made him an appealing character for me.

But Tony in Civil War was magnitudes higher a jerk than he has ever been. I mean he was being portrayed as a war profiteer. He carried out the ASSASSINATION of Atlanteans. That is not Iron Man.

Now I look around and I see everyone cheering every time Tony takes a hit and they yell "Take that *****e" and all I can think is, wow a win for mis characterization. Ah well.

I totally agree, but, I don't know, maybe you were purposely leaving s**t out to try and prove your point, but allow me to clarify a few things: Stark wasn't a war profiteer, because he was using the 90 billion dollars he got from the government to set up pension funds for heroes and support personnel, as well as money for those that lost loved ones during the "war". He did not assassinate any Atlanteans. He programed Osborne to shoot the Atlantean prime minister. If he wanted him dead, he woulda had him throw a pumpkin bomb at him, or run him through with his glider. Not shoot at him, in a crowd, with a piece of crap gun with a crooked barrel. The Atlanteans Osborne did kill, were sleeper agents, and therefore terrorists. Since when is killing terrorists assassination? What else, helping to build a cyborg clone of a dead friend that went all defective and killed another friend. Necessary evil that turned into a big mistake. Sentry was too off in the head to count on to be a heavy hitter, Thor was dead and likely wouldn't have been on his side anyway had he been alive. So, what else do you do? You make a heavy hitter. Would it have been better to simply have a robot? Sure, but it wouldn't have been as effective, or powerful for that matter. Morally questionable? Yes. Evil? No. What else...Oh yeah, locking up friends and putting them away for life. Wasn't really planning to do that. But he had to make people think he would, which is why he never let Spidey in on his plan. It was of course his first step in getting heroes to join up who were captured. If they thought they were never gonna get out, they'd ultimatly just go ahead and join up. Also, the whole reason he set up the cold war with Atlantis was to draw more heroes to register. If they thought the country was going to war with an army of super powered beings, they'd put the whole mask thing behind them and join up. Which many did. Plus, as the war progressed, he would offer blanket amnesty for those heroes locked in the negative zone. Never planned to keep them there. It was quite ingenious really. Certainly one of those grey area deals Stark is known for.

So, yeah, I agree with you, people should'nt be calling Stark a *****e and hope Spidey kicks his ass, because he's not a bad guy. Not even during Civil War. He did what had to be done, because the alternative would have been far, far worse.

I looked up the word *****ebag and saw a picture of Tony Stark next to it. This was the 1986 edition of Webster's too.

Exactly, there's no change in their function or anything. I haven't seen anybody complain about them in a long time. Seems silly to nowadays.

I don't mind them.

But what I don't like is that there has been NO process of explanation into how the organic webshooters work. It hasn't been delved into.

This is science fiction. If you're going to give a character new powers, I damn well want to see funky sci-fi explanations for how stuff works.

I really don't see how you guys can see him as evil. He's one of the coolest marvel heroes out there right now. It was Tony that got me to see how the Pro-reg side was good. For the most part, I still don't accept it, but I understand it.

Yes, he does things that I don't like, but he's still a good guy. Driven by power, but good.

Stark is still evil if Marvel has not given an elaborate explanation on Project Wideawake.

How'd Tony get you to see the pro-reg side was good?

Stark is a *****e for many, many reasons.

One of the most recent...

Incredible Hulk spoilers...

Stark has probably killed Hulk's baby.
