I'm sure I could get by without the major superheroes, but they're usually the comics I look forward to most. I've invested too much into their universes to take their loss lightly.

Oh, I didn't mean to say that I care for them less. I meant that I don't worry about them going anywhere. It's the smaller press publishers that could potentially diminish if things get really bad.

Speaking of small press, I just read Guggenheim's Resurrection #1 by Oni Press and it was very good.

I would say so, yes. I think it's the start of what's going to turn out to be a very cool book.

Wait until Iron Fist is replaced by Shang Chi, Captain America is replaced by the Punisher, Daredevil is replaced with his teenage self, X-Factor gets the cancellation, Runaways gets written by Bendis, Loners is killed Alpha Flight style, The Order gets written by Bendis, the New Warriors do something stupid, and blow up another school, and Thor gets beat up by new and improved Thor-buster Iron Man, all to turn a buck.

Spidey being bitten by a radioactive spider, Superman being sent to earth in a rocket, the Fanatastic Four being exposed to cosmic rays, all to turn a buck.

It's basically, "What happens after the alien invasion movie ends?" much in the same way The Walking Dead is about what happens after the zombie movie ends.

It's a really good set up issue. And it's ongoing, which kicks major ass.
