One More Day Discussion Thread

if they put the right talent together i think we can get pulled outta this spidey rut...it wont erase what happened unfortunately but hopefully we can get some good spidey stories

The talent they've got pretty much guarantees good stories. They're just not Spider-Man stories as far as I know the character.

I'm worried that I'm going to crack under the pressure when Bachalo starts drawing it. :(

If I ever see you on the street, I'm going to punch you in the weiner. :cmad:

The Spider-Man of the last few years seemed more "out of character" than what's going to be presented to us... so I fail to see your logic.

:csad:

And they were worse off for it.

If you're telling me that comic book storytelling is better today than it was in the 70's, then I know that you're a fat little ******ed kid.

:whatever: :whatever: :whatever:

The lameness that permeates that sentence is mind numbingly horrid to the nth degree.

What do you want me to tell you? That's the only answer we've been given.

And I have to say, it really pisses me off that a cool guy like Slott can't (or won't) give us a straight answer. Continuity shouldn't be a guessing game, where we have to pick and choose what did and didn't happen. That, coupled with the "Don't ask questions" bit in the JRJR feature, indicates that even the BND creators themselves don't know what the hell is going on.

wow was that really necessary...i will never understand how or why people think belittling or insulting someone helps get their point across. secondly comparing the present generation to past generations is pointless in my eyes. no matter who you talk to that person will believe their era was the best. Adults in the 70s say that when they were a teen in the 60s things were better adults in the 80s say the same thing of the 70s and on and on and on. everything does not have to be better than what came before it.

PJ and I have history... :o

And whenever I call him a fat little ******ed kid, he gets a *****... :word: :word: :word:

And while I won't disagree with your above comment, I did prefer Spider-Man in the 70's over the stuff in the 60's.

Does that make me a fat little ******ed kid, too?

I kind of like the idea of things just not quite being remembered instead of them just never happening at all.
There's storytelling potential there too. The potential of Peter Parker remembering and the internal conflict over whether or not it was morally wrong, the character who will (inevitably) remember everything (you know, because Layla Miller knows stuff). On top of that, it's magic, so who's to say someone like...I don't know...Dr. Doom or Loki, even Dr. Strange won't get involved?
Either way it goes, a lot of other heroes are still going to think of Spidey as a major screw up.

You know what? I wonder If Layla Miller knows? 1) She's probably not on this earth or timeline at this moment (The Marvel timeline upsets me) And 2) She seems to "know stuff." And seems to see the real in worlds.
