One More Day Discussion Thread

The Spider-Man of the last few years seemed more "out of character" than what's going to be presented to us... so I fail to see your logic.

:csad:
I don't recall ever saying anything about the last few years' worth of stories. The last time I genuinely enjoyed Spider-Man comics was about 5 years back, during JMS' early run and Jenkins' done-in-one tales that skirted the edges of Spider-Man's universe.

Also, given that you've been reading the character for decades and I've literally only been acquainted with the married Spider-Man on a regular basis, I think it's obvious that we're going to have different ideas about Peter's character with regard to the OMD changes.

The last time I enjoyed Spider-Man was the last issue of Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane. :(

i never picked up that comic cause i thought it was gonna be cheesy and childish....did i miss out on sumthin good???:csad:

Tee em eye. :o
I know. It's mainly the art that turned me off. Oh, and the fact that it's in a possible alternate reality.
It's definitely in an alternate reality at this point. The art takes getting used to, but I can deal with it. DeFalco makes the MC2 universe feel really nice and cohesive, which was severely lacking in the 616 comics when I started reading Spider-Girl.

I only have 1 decade of reading single Spidey stories under my belt (well... 13 years actually), while I have 2 decades of married Spdiey reading.

Both were good in their own ways, though I may see the 70's stuff with rose coloured glasses on account I was younger.

But having said that, I wasn't too please with the outcome of OMD (which sucked donkey balls in my opinion), because more importantly than a married/single Spider-Man, I like Marvel for it's conitnuity... which at this point seems altered.

However, I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and show me how everything still "works" within the confines of everything that occured.

:yay:

It's got it's little audience, which is commendable.

May as Peter is redundant. I always get tired of "replicating" a superhero's powers because its their kid. And I didn't like the concept of maiming Peter just to make some alternate universe work. Oh, wait...

You're a better man than I, Gunga TMOB. If MJ and Peter get back together, I'll give it a shot. I feel awkward just seeing Peter cheat on her in preview images, though.

NOW I'm suprised PJ didn't try to squeeze out a technicality there. *Crosses fingers* Post in the right thread.

I dunno, in this crazy new universe Pete and MJ may have some sort of open ended "arrangement." It makes as much sense as anything else I suppose. After all, four years of dating (is that it?) gets stale in this swingin' new MU. Gotta hit that Parker luck.

Yup, I can see it now. Peter Parker. Sex Bomb. :woot:

No, Peter and MJ dated, were engaged, and then broke up. No arrangements of the air-quoted variety or otherwise.
