He probably can't because May will now apparently just walk in on his ass. You can't have those scenes anymore where May is politely knocking on the door, trying to keep her face from going red because she thinks Peter is wacking it, while Peter desperately tries to hide all his webshooter paraphernalia. She's stepped into the new millennium and remembered that it's her damn house.

I really wish they'd gone with Peter as a teacher again instead of back to the Bugle for the nine billionth time. Freelancing at the Bugle is all well and good, but teaching science was a really great idea on JMS' part that no one ever really followed through on.
Now that I think about it, though, teachers are generally perceived as old. Hell, it's not uncommon for a lot of them to be married. Guess teaching would make Peter age too much.
