Well, I'm enjoying BND.

The problem you're running into is that you think it's bad, while there are some others who don't. The sooner you can handle the idea of people liking something that you don't, the easier life will be for you.

Just accept that it's here and be comforted in the fact that you don't have to read it if you don't want to.

It's as simple as that. So what if other people still want to read it? It really isn't hurting you any (and if it is, then there's another problem you have besides trying to convince people that they have bad tastes.)

Trust me dude... you're looking at the universal poster child of liking universally panned comics. Sins Past... loved it. The Other... Loved it. Disassembled... loved it. 90's comics... Love Them. Every other bad comic that causes nothing but complaining.... My favorates! But the fact that I am so fired up over OMD should really be saying something. I'm not saying anyone else can't like it, I'm saying that I wish there was a way to let Marvel know how much I dislike it. How much they're ruining a great book and character for me, a reader who's given them so much of my time and money, and how much I'm upset... maybe even hurt... that they'd just crap all over a character that I've spent 16 years enjoying (mostly... with some off and ons) on several differant titles simoultaneously. The fact that I've been reading Spider-Man for 16 years and knowing that not a thing that happened in it matters now because it's all been changed from a few years previous to when I first started infuriates me. And even more it ticks me off that Quesada just don't care... and cares even less to actually explain it, make sense of it, or even give it a decent story. He just crapped all over 16 years of my time and claims that it's gold. That really ticks me off. And then people are buying the new stuff telling him that it's just as gold as he thinks it is with their money spent.

But overall, I'm just mostly annoyed that there's nothing I can do about it. Chances are if I send a letter he'll never read it. If I don't buy spider-man they won't miss it. I've I drop every marvel comic I buy and spend it on other companies, they won't even feel it. I just have to shut up, bend over, and take it while saying "Please sir, may I have another."

That's what ticks me off. Not that other's like it, but because there's nothing I can do about the fact that I don't like it besides stop reading a character that's been a part of my life for 16 years... which isn't exactly a win situation for me in the slightest. I'm having trouble reading a lot of my old comics now because I know that it's now out of continuity and therefor, fake. And it also ticks me off that this is the 2nd time this has happened to me in my Spidey reading career (after the Clone Saga as well). It's like Spidey died and this new stuff is crap not at all related to the Spidey I've grown to love. Peter might as well have died and Harry could have doned the tights and it'd feel about the same right now.

And I'm ranting. Gonna stop now.

Ok, but really, you realize they're only bad tastes by your standards and I hope with that, you realize that there is nothing outside of your own imagination which says that you are an authority on what a good story can and cannot be?

I'm very sure we have comics that we both like, I'm even sure you read comics that I wouldn't go near, there's enough of a fact in what I'm about to say from the fact that we both like comics. So you see, it's not about good and bad tastes, it's about different tastes.

And for the record, I didn't like OMD, but I'm ok with BND. None of you even know what direction Slott is going to take this title in and you're still trying to get it changed, just because you assume will happen as a result of a totally different creative team.

Really, you guys should learn how to pick your battles.

just because someone likes something doesn't make it good.
there are people who like "Rush Hour 3", but that doesn't make it a good film.

on the flipside, does someone dislike of "The Watchmen" mean it isn't good?
no.

i like it when people can say they like something they recognize as bad or say they recognize the good in something they don't like; those that can differentiate between taste and quality.

anyway, time will tell whether it is good or bad. immediate reaction is something, but not the final word.

The direction Slott or other creative teams isn't why people are upset and dropping the book. It was magic undoing of the marriage and near-reboot of the series

You forgot one detail. Everything still happened, everyone forgot that Peter is Spider-man, and Peter for some reason does not find this odd even though he should be extremely confused as to why everyone forgot he's Spider-man.
