It is certainly no secret that a vocal, dedicated portion of the Constantine fanbase will do anything short of a dark incantation to see the show return to airwaves. Many raised their fists and screamed at the sky when NBC cancelled the DC Entertainment supernatural thriller after only thirteen episodes and ending it on a cliffhanger, no less.
Fans of the Exorcist/Demonologist/Master of the Dark Arts were recently able to get their fix though when the character made a memorable guest appearance on Arrow and when the El Rey Network decided to re-run all thirteen episodes of the ill-fated show.
Also of recent note is the Change.org petition letter that is trying to grab the attention of The CW, among other television networks and online streaming services, which is rapidly closing in on its goal of 75,000 signatures. Thanks to said petition, things just got more interesting.
DC Comics News has learned from an anonymous source close to the petition that online streaming service TVtibi is interested in reviving the show and is in talks with Warner Bros. about doing that very thing. It seems the campaign for the show’s revival caught their interest and they see the potential it has. Acquiring Constantine would be a massive boon for them as they seek to elevate their status in the online streaming television market.
There is, however, a bit of a roadblock: they need a co-producer. If they are able to gain one, they reportedly want to show that Constantine is viable for crossovers with shows that exist in what the online community has dubbed the “Arrow-verse.” Considering that DC shows that are currently running on The CW are unable to crossover with CBS’ Supergirl, and CBS owns half of The CW, mind you, crossing over with a show on a streaming service would be nothing short of a miracle.
TVtibi has since taken to Facebook this week announcing that some form of negotiations to revive Constantine are about to take please. For now, though, we can only keep our fingers crossed.

I don't see this happening. I've never even heard of TVtibi.

I'd love to be wrong about that, though.

As cool as it would be to see more Constantine, I really don't see it happening.

It also doesn't help the believability factor that the site breaking this story makes a blatant error in stating that Supergirl can't legally cross over with the Arrow-verse when there's been little to no indication of such being the case beyond one comment from Andrew Kreisberg that is actually contradicted by things that have been said previously by both the current or former Presidents of The CW and CBS and by Greg Berlanti and Ali Adler, both of whom outrank Kreisberg in terms of control over SG and are, simply by the very nature of their jobs as SG's Supervising Executive Producers, in far better position to know what exactly they can and cannot do.

Never ending drama with this show... we'll see how it'll turn out.

Yeah - personally - I'd be willing to get more behind it if I knew more about the streaming service, I think it would be a sweet move for them, but they need more than just constantine to bring the streaming service up to par with other streaming services.

I think it's pretty telling that it's been over a month and we haven't heard a peep about this.

what i don't get is why netflix picked up the movie instead of the show -.-

i guess the movie was more "widely " known or whatever....

It's a two way street. Warner Television and Netflix would have to come to an agreement.

Warner made a deal to run reruns of recently failed shows like Constantine and Almost Human on El Rey Network. El Rey is a tiny network that needed notoriety, so niche shows with vocal fanbases like those two help it build some good will for probably not a lot of money. El Rey may have the exclusive rights to air the show for a certain time peroid; we don't know.

You also have to consider CW Seed, the CW's streaming site. Along with the Vixen animated series they are showing old DC live action shows like 90s Flash and Birds of Prey. It wouldn't surprise me to see Constantine show up there as well, given its tangential connection to the Arrowverse.

Also, the movie was better.

One can be more faithful but still lower in quality overall.

Matt Ryan's Constantine absolutely nails the character and is more faithful but the film has pretty much every other aspect working in its favor.

I like the film and the show but I'd say the film is more entertaining on the whole.

This. Matt Ryan certainly is a much better, more faithful adaptation of the character. . . but this doesn't change that the TV show's overall quality is terrible. Whereas the movie is only very, very loosely an adaptation, but aside from that, is a quite good urban fantasy/horror movie.

I agree. Love the film. I watch it pretty often.

I really like the movie's suave, badass, world weary take on the character.

When I tuned in to the pilot I really didn't expect to see a manic, Cheshire cat-grinning, adult ADHD sufferer running round.

I turned it off after several minutes. I was becoming sore from the constant cringing I was doing.

He would have made a decent Dr. Who, though.

Matt Ryan is absolutely fantastic as "Constantine". One of the best castings of a comicbook character on TV/Film. The show itself had a weak start, and the first 3-4 episodes wasn't anything special but it improved constantly during it's short run. Was great to have Ryan back as the character on "Arrow". Loved that. I agree that NBC wasn't the best place for a show like this.

The film wasn't quite as awful as I feared, I mean at least it was R-rated, and the cinematography is quite nice, but it turns into an ugly CGI videogame mess like Francis Lawrence's stuff sometimes does, I mean its not quite as bad as when the fairly decent "I am Legend" goes from a creepy film and then changes into Will Smith VS Sega *Genesis Monsters. And I am a fan of Keanu Reeves he tries hard and these days I think he has improved his acting quite a bit, but the guy he plays in the film is pretty much "Surfer Dude who is world weary and badass .

Neither version is fantastic, but I take the TV-show any day over the film.

I loved the film. The show was decent. It definitely had a rough start.
My favorite part of the film is getting to see Shia LeBeouf killed ....
