Scarlet Witch is licensed by FOX. I would like to see another female character, but I'm not too disappointed about it. There was only one female a part of the original Avengers anyway.
Please provide link or proof that Fox owns the Scarlett Witch? I'm not convinced they do as so many keep assuming that cause she's a mutant she's automatically Fox's. If we are going on the assumption that because she is a mutant that Fox owns her then they must own Namor as well. Wanda's history and popularity has been tied in with the Avengers way more then the Xmen. Fox has the rites to the xmen and the mutants tied with in their universe and one can assume that Wanda would belong to Fox but I remember reading that the contract between Marvel and Fox is all the mutants that is tied with the xmen and Wolverine and aren't part or wasn't part of other titles as main characters or their own title belong to Fox. Namor, Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver fit the bill. It's gets very tricky on who owns who cause Fox can claim they own Venom or Black Widow because they have appeared in Wolverine's title and was in a story arc. Marvel can claim Beast because he was part of the Avengers can they not? It's all dicey and if the assumption was that Fox can lay claim to any characters that have been featured in the x universe then they would have claim to Hulk, Spidey, Cap, and Thor and on
and on. With Marvel and Disney making their own films now based off comic characters you can bet they are looking at any loop hole to get back their characters or ones in limbo, especially the ones that specifically hasn't been mentioned by name but falls under that tie in crap of the Xuniverse. Marvel is gonna fight over Wanda if they don't have the rites already because she has been featured in the avengers way more then the xmen. The Scarlett Witch may just end up being a character never used in film because of the debate of who has legal to her. If she ever makes it's to the avengers she won't be referred to as a mutant or magneto's daughter .
