Organic "Victor": A Doombot All Along? (new photo inside)

...In 2005 I made a thread in the Fantastic Four forum on how he could've been a Doombot.:o

I didn't think it was that possible.

Hmm, interesting.

I'd have thought he'd have been stuck as the steel-man-in-the-mask, however, with Von Doom having been compared to Trump earlier in the thread gave me an idea......

Egomanics like Von Doom are obsessed with their image right? What if he was using Surfers powers to return to looking normal? (whilst also at the same time, using it to destroy the F4)

Another explanation is that maybe he has learned to control how his body turns to metal.......

Id be great if Doom used the surfers cosmic power to restore his face but then somehow the power gets taken back (guessing) and in the process Doom gets hideously disfigured (maby the right way this time?), further fueling his hatred for the fantastic four

Okay after reading the article and looking at those pics, especially the one of Thing choking a "human" looking Victor Von Doom, I am more confused than ever. However, I am not liking the idea of Doom getting the Cosmic Power from the Surfer and making himself human and that's it.... the idea of him with the Power Cosmic, got me so excited when I heard about it, because it is one of the best moments in comics (next to Doom absorbing the Beyonder's power.) and I was hoping to have a fully armored Doom attacking the F4/Surfer on the board, as well as making his demands to the nations of the world that they surrender the planet over to him.

Even after hearing that Payne is a HUGE F4 fan, I am getting that uneasy feeling about this movie...for months, all the details were good, the teaser was incredible, but now, naturally as it gets closer to release, little bits of confusion and possible nightmarish scenarios plague our consciousness.

This would be one of the craziest movie plot twists....ever.And one that wouldn't make a whole lot of sense. I'm inclined to think that Doom uses the SS's cosmic power to make himself 'normal'. Not an idea i like much either but then i do remember that Julian wasn't a fan of wearing prosthetic makeup.

But it is the idea of a "human" looking sans Doom armor with the Power Cosmic that scares the hell out of me...how hard is it to make Doom....Doom?! Yeesh...this is getting out of hand...

I pray something like this is in the movie.

Such a beautiful sight...in fact in the 1990's episode "Doomsday" which had Doom absorb the Power Cosmic, he had such a great piece of dialogue with the Surfer:

Doom (standing on the tower of Castle Doom in Latveria)--"projecting a holographic image of a larger castle"---As future emperor of the world, I require a castle befitting my status.

Surfer: YOU! Most evil of all that dwell on this Earth, you shall pay for your colossal conceit. The power you stole is too vast, too universal, if not used correctly, it could destroy a galaxy.

Doom: You concern touches me deeply, you unearthly clod! You, who refuse to properly wield your cosmic powers, I, on the other hand, shall use the power to enslave a whole planet, and after that....perhaps the universe as well."

Apparently it is very hard to do Doom.We don't need (want) to see him as human again.

The only way it might be kind of cool to see him human is if the Surfer's power is used on him towards the beginning of the movie while Doom is in Latveria and he is freed from his "metallic prison." At which point, all his subjects come to him, happy and pleased to see him alive, etc. Maybe we can establish that he is in charge of Latveria and then he slowly becomes the armor clad monarch that he was born to be.

That kind of dialogue wouldn't be out of place in this movie. My only concern would be the delivery from McMahon.

I still think if given the proper script (i.e. some of the dialogue I posted), that McMahon can pull off Victor Von Doom...he has arrogance pouring out of him in Nip/Tuck, he can do it....I just want to see him show off his genius and put down Richards (and he damn well better call him Richards in this movie, not Reed, not Mr. Fantastic, but Richards).

I like this idea and it sounds plausible too.

Thanks, well us fellow Doom fans have to "try" to think like the writer(s), producers, and Story to see if we can merge our fanboy dreams with what could show up on the big screen. I just want to see a cosmic powered, ego maniacal, Richards cursing, Latverian ruling, ARMOR wearing, green cloak intact, Doctor Doom.

Yeah better dialogue would definetly help his portrayal. But, still i don't think as an actor he's embodiment of Doom like for example Ian McKellen (Magneto) or Christian Bale (Batman). I hope FF2 will prove me wrong.

I have a feeling that Story and Payne want the same thing but not so sure the powers that be have the same ideals. Bah!:doom:

The more I think about it, the more I hope this human looking Doom is a Doom-bot.

I love the idea of Doom sitting in Latveria, mishapen and scarred behind his metal mask sending this robot strolling into the Baxter building prior to the wedding.

That could make an interesting start to the film.

But thats just one hopeful scenerion out of 1000 possibilities.

This would be a different type of Doombot, but you know I could really like it if it turns out to be a Doombot that Doom sends to oversee the wedding, etc. This would be a great way to start off Doom's story by showing that he is a master of robotics...

I just died a little on the inside... I'd hoped he would be donning the mask throughout the entire movie. The idea of Doom sending Doombots that resemble him prior to the supernova burning to drop a surprise visit somewhere in the film while sitting away on his throne in Latveria sounds great to me and it would make a nice twist to the story, but I'm just going to be realistic here and expect the worst. I mean, let's face it... Fox loyalists aren't exactly well known for staying true to the general expectations.

Doom will appear as a contestant on Jeopardy in the upcoming movie...

I get the feeling that when they bring Doom back to life in Latveria(god knows how) that he uses the SS's powers to bring sexy back and that pic is of how he looks in most of the movie,Julian in a dark green leather coat with cosmic powers kinda doing the Cole from Charmed thing.

Oh god HR, I love Heroes....but that avvy is...... *shudders*

I swear, if they screw this up that bad with Julian as himself throughout the movie, and only a couple of minutes again of the armor, then i think i will throw myself out of the window. I just don't think I can take Doom being screwed up again...

Awwww, well GS i hope i am wrong but it's just a feeling i get,you may get full armoured Doom at the end but not much during the movie IMO

That is not "Full Doom" as the cast & crew keep saying Doom is in this movie
