Lets not turn Peter into McGyver. The organic shooters are fine.

McGuyver was the sort of dude that'll turn a coat hanger and a piece of shoe string into an electromagnetic pulse bomb. Saying that, he'd never have the smarts to create a web shooter. Peter is a lot smarter but Raimi like many other things about spider-man failed to recognise.
