Parker should develop a mutated silk producing gene which he discovers and then splices into a colony of E. Coli bacteria. He cultivates the transgenic bacteria in beakers which he keeps in his lab, and uses them to extract a unique silk protein which he combines with different chemicals to create his web fluid. He loads the web fluid into pressurized cartridges, and is able to adjust the formula to create different kinds of web.

I'd also be interested in seeing specialized web cartridges, such as one that can produce a parachute.

Well Superman in a plane makes more sense than flying without one but it adds nothing to the character.

Mechanical webshooters and synthetic webbing actually show Peter Parker needed to a be a nerd to the effective hero he is.

If Flash Thompson was bit by a radioactive spider he would need a taxi to get across town and a pawn shop taser to catch criminals.

Not Peter Parker. His book smarts actually are an essential part of being a superhero.
