Out of curiosity, is there anyone around here who disliked Michael Keaton's Batman?

LongDong said:
I hated how Goyer rewrote Batman's "origin" in begins too. I think that it was very pivotal to his character having walked out of Zorro and his parents die, not that stupid bat opera bull****. Zorro was a major influence on him becoming a masked vigilante.
That would have been a nice homage there, given that Zorro was one of the influences on Batman.

IF you're not stupid enough to know something is not wrthy to waste time on it and then you waste time on it.

A good tip, stick to attack my grammar, it will be your only hope kid.

You have already been proven to being a foolish troll. You have no allies.

You already proven not being able to ignore your Master, El Payaso.

Aw, is it that you need allies to prove your points so you think i'm the same? Is it that why you insist in quoting your friends all the time?

Quoting my friends, only when replying to them troll bait.

Explain it again, Batattack, our friend is having troubles understading one single word here.

And ignoring his Master, of course.

So be comprehensive.

Later buddy. By the way do you still run track?

HAHAHAHA.

In this thread you have both argued and felt like you won the arguments.

So, however you read that, you're calling yourself a ****** and I didn't even have to type it myself. :D

The LongDong style.

Dude it was just a joke. lol. Have some fun with it eh? Get a sense of humor.

WHAT WOULD BATMAN DO?

UNFORTUNATELY ITS PRACTICALLY NOT IN PUBLIC DOMAIN SO IT WOULD PROMTOE THE ZORRO MOVIE THAT CAME OUT LATER THAT YEAR. I DO THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE WALKED HOME FROM A MOVIE BECAUSE EVEN AFTER DC COMICS INFINITE CRISS UNIVERSE RESET WORLD 2 HEAVILY PROMOTES THE KILLING OF BRUCE WAYNES PARENTS AS A RANDOM CRIME. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM BEING AFRAID OF BATS OR FALLING INTO A CAVE. THAT PULLS IT DOWN TO BATMAN FOREVER STATUS AWAY FROM THE BEST BATMAN MOVIE OF ALL TIME BATMAN RETURNS.

I don't know how anyone could dislike Keaton as Batman. The dude rocked.

all you got to do is read through all the posts and you will see WHY people hated him and contrary to what you think,he was a HORRIBLE choice for the role and he did NOT rock.:down

Dr. Fate said:
I believe that was a TV series in the 1970s, not a full scale theatrical film.

correct.that was a tv series,not a movie.

All you got to do is read through all the posts and you will see WHY 2 people hated him. The reviewers and financial success say otherwise though.

El Payaso said:
^ I'm going to start collecting all of these. :D

Btw, notice how he claims he will neevr ever speak to me again and the next thing he does is talking to me asking my age. One day this will be classic comedy... but sadly, I'm afraid LongDong won't be able to get it though. A true paradox.

Ah, more of the ignoring, not-talking-to-Payaso-anymore post:

Explain me how 20 years affects the point of having/not having a previous movie to compare.

Were people comparing the two versions of Psycho? Yes.
Were people comparing Gone with the Wind's sequel to the original? Yes

More than 20 years bud.

And X-Men had a first movie and Hulk had a first movie and they didn't succeed as much.

That is, being first (or second or third movie for that matter) doesn't affect the box office as you claim.

Ah, I meant superhero movie.

Now, how official is that list. Like my-personal-friend-said-that type?

Are we, a bunch of fans somehwere on the net some kind of... evidence of something now?

At most these polls have like ... what... 100 votes?

Pft.

LongDong has his friends as an offical source, you have 100 votes... this doesn't sound very good/official/sane/clever.

Ah, I judged you wrong.

You can also tell your friends are some serious evidence. I always give people like you too much credit.

But he is not.

Try to make fans in here or your friends choose between Kilmer and Keaton and you'll have to whine about how Schumacher put a gun against Kilmer's head to wear rubber nipples sooner that I say 'Just go away Payaso'.

It looks like the 6/6/06 brought more genius than satans.

Notice how he cries to heavens he is ignoring me and then he talks directly to me immediately?

And how he whine and claim he hasn't read my replies and then he tells me the exact tone of those very replies?

You can't ignore me? Just say so. It is much worse to try to disguise it.

You'll have to read what I said to the other Payaso-ignoring dude.

All of that is true.

And Keaton was a great Batman.

Well, it's just a couple of dudes... and their personal friends.

you sir are clueless because the only one reading your crap you quote me on is you.proof you are clueless on everything you talk about.you clearly have memory and reading comprehension problems because you cant remember what I said earlier that I dont read your insane ludicrise posts anymore.and oh,btw, just because I qouted you here, doesnt mean I read it just so you know.

As I thought you're creating new 'rules' as your previous points seem refuted.

Dude, you are clearly liying. Tell me in what post i posted something totally different that in my last post.

And this guy, el payaso, is clearly liying once again. There are many and many and many people , batman fans and not batman fans, that werent agree with the casting of Keaton as batman. I remember in 1989, when i went to the cinema to see this movie, and many people was laughing and felling strange with Keaton as Batman. I rememeber a little girl saying: what a short batman. That shows how Keaton has been discussed so many , even there are a thread in this forum with 12 pages discussing Keaton as batman, almost 20 years after the release of the movie. That shows something. But if you are living in your fantasy world and dont see it and post lies and false things, its your problem, dude.

we are all clearly falling into his trollish trap. The same points keep getting debated and he just tries to twist our words around to meet his needs. I think all of us should put him on ignore and then keep debating things in this thread. Imagine how it would upset him to know he could not bother us anymore. HAHAHAHA

Yeah that el payaso is lying once again as usual and so much living in a fantasy world. He cant deal with the truth that so many thousands out there hated keaton as batman and that people still after the movie came out, laughed about Keaton playing the role and made comments everywhere around the country about how they hated him because he was so short and half bald and out of shape.so he keeps posting false lies all the time.the proof is in the pudding that almost 20 years after batman 89 came out people still vent their anger over keaton being cast, not just on this thread but here is further proof. This came from a movie site that I post at and the guy that made this thread RECENTLY was a guy who went by the name of Leafar. The thread was called -Rank The Batman actors.and he posted this.

1.Bale.He has given the best performance of the dark knight. In all aspects he nails the role perfectly and has set the standard for any future actor. He is Batman.
2.Val Kilmer.I liked "Batman Forever" and Kilmer was the best Batman until Bale did it.Unlike Keaton,he could take his shirt off in the movie. The physical part of the role is just as important as the mental part.Val was perfect for the role.
3..Michael Keaton. He wasnt great as batman, but he was good. The Main reason to see "Batman" was Jack Nicholson.Keaton is a good actor but he was not the best choice for the role.At the time,Alec Baldwin would have been perfect.

Another poster who understand Alec would have been a much better choice.as I said before,Baldwin has proven he is a great actor. He went ONSTAGE and did the main role in A Streetcar Named Desiree.Which is not an easy role.In fact its a complicated role that only a great actor could do.Plus he had to do it onstage where if you miss a line, you are screwed and so is the show, where in film, you can just start all over again and do a retake.Look at what Alec Baldwin has done, whats Keaton ever done onstage? People here are living in a fantasyland saying Baldwin would not have done a good job back then and that Keaton was a great Batman.

Yeah that would be the smart thing to do Mister Lennon because the more and more you respond to him, your just taking his bait.Best thing to do is put him on ignore where he will be blocked from your view and ignore his insane ramblings.

Welcome to the brotherhood, my trolls.

Remember who's your master.

Clearly not enough of them to affect the critical and financial success of the movies ;) :D

Yeah?? I remember going to see it and there was a bunch of kids there, and they all came out saying what an awesome Batman.

That shows how Keaton has been discussed so many , even there are a thread in this forum with 12 pages discussing Keaton as batman, almost 20 years after the release of the movie. That shows something.

It does show something. It shows he's still fondly remembered by most fans.

But if you are living in your fantasy world and dont see it and post lies and false things, its your problem, dude.

When someone sees their opinion,a minority opinion too I might add,as a fact, then it is that person who is living in a fantasy world.

On a final note, Michael Keaton rocks as Batman. And that's Bob Kane approved ;) :D
