The Amazing Spider-Man Out of the Two Villains?

Which Villain for Spider-Man 4?

  • The Lizard!

  • The Vulture! (and maybe the Vulturess)

I voted lizard but if it IS vulture, it should be vulture alone. go back to basics and develope the main character and villian. also use the time to flesh out conners, at least make him start his lizard experiements and if there is a secondary villian make spidey take him out in the opening credits like batman did with scarecrow in TDK.

what I want
LIZARD

failing that
vulture
b lister smack down at the start of the movie (electro/rhino/shocker)

*cough*Spider-man 3*cough*

First off that was one fight. We've had how many aerial battles? Second it was with a man not a monster as I said. Third, it was much more focused on the subway than the sewers. What we saw was the subway. I want to see this...

Not to mention they could fight in a wet land type area as well. Who said this movie has to take place in New York the entire movie? The Lizard first appeared in Florida. The point is the Vulture would be more of the same. The Lizard would open the door to some new stuff.

I would like the Lizard as the villian ever since he was brought in on SM2 I wanted Connors to turn into the Lizard.

he was brought in on SM2 he was only mentioned in SM1

From the glorious skyscrapers of NYC,comes the stinking plague infested sewers.

I really think that the best way to go with this movie is to include 2 enemies for Spider-Man: the main one which should be The Lizard and the secondary villain which should NOT be a sympathetic villain, it should be someone really evil, vicious & twisted who will not change his ways. It can be either Shocker, Kraven, Mysterio or heck, even The Vulture. I wouldn't mind Carnage, but since Raimi is doing this movie, I'd rather they go with some of the so-called "classic" villains, which he can handle, such as the ones I mentioned up there.

And none of them should die this time. Connors should be cured and return to his family, while the other should be imprisoned. As for Spider-Man 5, they could use the Scorpion as the main villain and probably insert the Black Cat as well (and introduce Felicia in SM4).

Kraven would be the best "evil" villain for the Lizard to fight. It would be the most logical way to bring in Kraven and it would make for a very good story since Kraven vs Lizard, Kraven vs Spider-Man, Spider-Man vs Lizard or Spider-Man vs Kraven vs Lizard would all be interesting to see.

EXCELLENT proposals! :applaud I can vividly imagine the gritty, up-close-and-dangerous tumbling and tangling and thrashing of Spidey confronting (or trying to not get mauled by) the Lizard in those areas in the photos.

I also have to say that I agree with others that Kraven being involved in the Lizard story would be fantastic and more worthwhile than just the Lizard alone.

Further, there totally should be a B-List Villain smackdown early on in the movie. Rhino and Shocker, as listed by another poster, are my top two nominees for this role.

when I think of the spidey fighting the lizard I always have a vision of him punching the lizard and the lizard's thick hide busting spidey's knuckles so spidey webs up his hands like boxing gloves to take him down.

I'd rather see Lizard before Vulture. A perfect opportunity for Raimi to use his horror roots. Bring in Electro who causes a blackout and it'll make Lizard more menacing and scarier.

I kept saying that about Venom before Spidey 3 came out.

The blackout idea would be cool for the holy crap effect (or any dark area really), but I'm sure that could be caused by collateral damage the Lizard makes or something more relevant like that though.

I don't understand?

I voted for Vulture, since I don't really want a one-villain Lizard movie without Kraven involved to amp up the awesomeness and provide a secondary bad guy. As it stands, Kraven doesn't seem to fit in SM4 at all, so... No Lizard for me.

awesome idea zeptron

I think we've seen enough of those kinds of battles though. We've had mid-air battles with the Goblin AND Ock! What we haven't seen is a battle with a monster in the bowels of the sewers. Crawling inside and outside of pipes. Another aerial battle would seem so "been here done that."

Forgot to mention the fight with Venom...IN THE AIR! So we've had WAAAAAY more than enough aerial battles. No Vulture.

Well I didn't come with it actually. It was the SHH member Oscorp's idea. I've been pretty sold on this ever since I read it.

I'd much rather see that than the typical Kraven hunting the Lizard story.

Or we could just have Kraven cut some wires or something. :whatever:

I'd rather have a villain that works perfectly with the other (Lizard and Kraven) then throw in another villain who doesn't mesh at all just so the lights can go out. A big storm, a simple black out, there are many things that could get us that scene. Once the lights are out and we have a great Lizard scene it would go right into "Oh, right, there's nothing left to do with these two characters."

Kraven and Lizard are perfect for eachother.

You can still have Lizard and Electro connected somehow. They can just take a page from TSSM.

-Max Dillon works for Curt Connors in the lab as a technician

- Has an accident with some electric things, turns to Electro. Zapps around electricity which hits the Lizard-DNA injection that Curt Connors is working on, and it turns out electricity was the last thing needed for the cure to "work".

- Curt Connors uses it on himself which first grows his arm back, and later turns him into Lizard.

Because of the blackout Peter will have problems finding a cure for Connors which would make quite a good plot. Meanwhile Electro would still be a problem because of his powers. He just happens to unlock the cage of the beast. Somehow though, he should manage to cure Connors, but there is this final confrontation left: Electro, who has built up his power with the city's electricity. The final fight would be in Times Square. That would make quite an epic movie if you ask me.

A fight in Time Square? Yes. A plot line taken from the cartoon show that barely worked? No.

How would the Lizard and Electro fight? Are they going to team up or fight? Because either way it would be stupid. The Lizard isn't going to do diddly squat to Electro. And if Electro could talk a half lizard half man monster into teaming up with him it would be really bad, not to mention we just saw a villain team up in 3.

Another reason I prefer this combo is because they're both more powerful than Spider-man.(Lizard in strength, Electro he literally cannot touch) I think by giving Spider-Man two stronger villains to contend with it will allows the writers to finally give us a smart clever Peter Parker than the pandering naive one we have seen in the movie (besides the sound chamber for Venom out of pipes because that was thinking on his feet). The blackout of NYC is the perfect backdrop for this because if the Lizard is doing something that Spider-Man needs to stop or even get his friend back, it will be more difficult if near impossible in the dark.

I loved SM2, but I thought it was a bit easy for Spidey to get to Doc Ock and punch him. He should have had to think harder to get by those tentacles at times. Doc Ock actually did much more thinking, hostages, grabbing nearby things and weapons, and most importantly, the train.

You know it just hit me that we have how many superhero movies that take place in New York and not one of them have a giant battle in Time Square?

Well, there was that one fight with the Goblin in SM1.
