I really wanted to like it, but it was just so bad that I could not. Ultron in particular was one of the weakest villains that has ever hit the big screen. I would even put him behind the punny Mr. Freeze. Yeah, I went there. Even the Fantastic Four reboot would be better than this plot-hole ridden obligatory addition to the mixed bag that is the MCU.

I don't know, I was pretty excited when I heard that Spidey is gonna be in the MCU. But, seeing the actors they have narrowed down and the general comments from Fiege alone, it just feels......eh, for lack of a better word. I feel like we just got Spider-Man the Animated Series and the Spectacular Spider-Man and now have to sit through Ultimate Spider-Man.

That's well.. alot..um.. well I agree with you on the spider-man side of things although you have to remember that none of it is official yet

Personally I absolutely loved AOU and want to see it again in Digital because the 3D was lacking and more of a distraction than anything (if you havent seen it yet, id recommend not wasting the extra cash on 3D) and im really hoping that we get the extended cut. It was a ton of fun and im in love with Scarlet Witch lmao

Hey guys, sorry for the all-out attack on AOU. I just was really disappointed with it, especially their character assassination of Tony Stark. And this is coming from someone who is practically rationing the gem that is the Daredevil series (the hallway fight scene tho) and loved all the MCU movies released last year.

I am willing to give the reboot a chance but even the directors announced for it seem Webb-ish i.e. newbies who can be easily dominated by the studio heads. I may be wrong in that characterization since I have not even seen one of their films so who knows. Right now I am just hoping that they do not caste any of the frontrunners as Spidey.

I definitely dont think they will. Id say the way it's going now is very similar to Peter Quill where the "shortlist" contained a bunch of bland guys that wouldn't have been able to come close to Chris Pratt's performance (in charisma and humor)

That is true, but I consider Daredevil (the Directors Cut in particular) to be an underrated gem.
Loving the Director's Cut is why I started that group, and I'm grateful you joined it.

I will still enjoy raimis and webbs because its spider-man heck i'll even watch 3
Me too.
Spider-Man 3 is a fun fun fun movie imo.

I made a pretty cool pick-up today and purchased the Long Beach Comic-Con variant cover edition of Amazing Spider-Man #606, with a 9.8 grade. As a big fan of Black Cat, I'm happy to own this CB. Here's pic of the cover...I'll post a pic of my actual purchase after I return home from work.

The good news is, this is not the issue with masked sex, Peter's blood sold to a vampire club run by Morbius, and Felicia tricks Spidey into dressing up like Twilight vampires.
Who in that world would believe Twilight's depiction of vampires? Spidey faced both Morbius and Count Dracula, he is aware what a vampire in the MU looks like, although Morbius is not of the supernatural kind.

On a different note, I just completed Spider-Man 3 the game again, and I still think it's a shame that game is not considered a victory, it is much better than what it's reputed to be.

Excuse me, may I have your attention please?
Mr. harryoscop, a moment of your time, if you please.

I remembered that a lot of you had enjoyed my previous Spiderman "fan outlines", so I just figured that I'd post the first half of my Civil War outline for any of you who cared to read it. (Warning: There are, of course, spoilers from AOU)

Captain America: Civil War
Proposed Outline

---The film opens with Cap leading the New Avengers on a mission against Dr. Blood. He has been running genetic experiments to create meta-humans. He nearly escapes, only to be shot and wounded by The Winter Soldier, who flees the scene before Cap can catch him. He returns to the doctor's fortress, where they liberate the surviving test subjects, including Dr. Karla Sofen. Recovered information shows a connection to Baron Helmut Zemo, a new player in the international underworld with a keen interest in metahumans. Unbeknownst to the Avengers, Zemos's henchman, Crossbones, has made off with one of the test subjects: Nitro.
---Back in the United States, Tony Stark, Hank Pym, and C.I.A. head Henry Peter Gyrich unveil a grand plan, headlined by the Superhuman Registration Act, which would unite all the worlds super-resources under one governing body. One of the key points involves negotiations with Wakanda, which have stalled with stubborn King T'Chaka. Cap calls in, questioning aspects of the S.R.A. Tony disregards his concerns and orders him to stop chasing Bucky on the Avengers' time.
--- Cap ignores said order, and leaves with Sam and Natasha to track Bucky before he can leave the country. Coincidentally, King T'Chaka is set to make a speech regarding the S.R.A. Treaty. Crossbones is there with Nitro, as is Bucky. A three-way fight ensues between the three heroes, Bucky, and Crossbones.
---Back to Blood's fortress, Vision and Wanda are having "a moment", while he helps her cope with Pietro's death. Meanwhile, Rhodey receives secret orders from Stark.
---While this is all happening, the fight continues. However, Nitro approaches the stage and detonates, killing T'Chaka and hundreds of bystanders. In the devastation that follows, Bucky and The Avengers help with evac, while Crossbones escapes.
---This attack sparks an immediate outcry of support for the S.R.A. Nearly overnight countless international meetings are arranged, and the legislation is fast-tracked towards becoming international law. A grieving Prince T'Challa arrives to speak with Stark.
---All this happens while the Avengers are returning. When they get back to HQ, they find that Gyrich and Ross have taken over. Cap wants to take the fight to Zemo, but is ordered to stand down. Bucky is promptly arrested. Stark arrives with T'Challa to show off his grand plans to Cap, which work towards a future of unification to prepare for the next invasion. However, all Cap cares about is freeing Bucky, who has been thrown into a tiny "super-prison" created by Pym and Lang.
---Crossbones reports back to Zemo, who proclaims that all is proceeding as he has foreseen. A Masters of Evil lineup is teased, including Abomination and Yellowjacket.
---Back at HQ, Stark has begun rounding up powered people from around the world, including a young vigilante from New York, named Peter Parker. He is setting up an Avengers Acadamy, and offers T'Challa a chance to get involved. Meanwhile Cap seeks advice from Vision, who advises him to wait and think. He tries to leave on his own, but is arrested by Rhodey on orders from Gyrich.
Stark contacts Hawkeye to teach at the Acadamy. When he demands to speak to Cap, Stark reveals the location of the farm to Gyrich. But when the C.I.A. arrives, Clint is gone.
---Inside Pym's prison, which also houses the likes of Yellowjacket, Abomination, and Blood, Cap and Bucky catch up on old times. It's revealed that Peggy has died, and Cap is increasingly doubting if he has any place in the new world. What if Stark is right?
---Meanwhile, Sharon has determined those still loyal to Cap: Wanda, Sam, Natasha, and Clint. She steals the Ant-man suit and breaks Bucky and Cap out. The group flees into the night to track down Zemo.

Tell us in details, your every thought when you look at every movie Spidey suit we had so far.

Okay, when I look at the Raimi SM1-2-3 suits, I applaud him for making the design his own while keeping all the same details. great translation from the comic books, P.S I like the silver webbing and the triangular shaped eyes. my only gripe was Tobey's build in SM3.

When I look at TASM1 suit, I'm in awe. It's sleek, it's somewhat menacing (gives me Ditko vibes) and it's something fresh and new. I LOVE the way the suit looks in motion (Spidey needs to move like that in the MCU) it's so... fast and superhuman perfect prototype-ish costume to start off a new series.

When I look at the TASM2 I want to throw up in a bucket. Webb could have modified TASM1's costume and made it more classic (no leg stripes, a belt, no silver soles, red gloves) but instead he copped out and lazily rehashed Raimi's vision of the Spider-Man movie costume. I mean really? ugly gross reflective webbing to the point where it looks grey, Raimi brick fabric, raised webbing and symbols? the eyes look so ugly. the black rims are too damn thin and they make his head look like a red balloon.
The belt is too fat and makes Andrew look like a skinny-fat guy.
AND worst of all, it's overrated among fans. they act like it's the END ALL Spider-Man movie suit.. they even want Marvel to use a slightly modified version of this atrocity.

Just a ****** suit in every sense of the word.

Thank Zod that we won't be getting a rehash of this garbage like some fans want.

Great outline CaptainWagner but it's missing two crucial things. Spider-Man and a Captain America vs Iron Man fight.

I know, this is just Part 1 :woot:

*edit* (realized I left out Spidey's intro, added it in to original outline)

Let's start with the most important thing; it's thank God. Zod is a fictional villain Superman killed to save mankind from total annihilation.

You have a strange view of the Amazing Spider-Man 2 costume, too deep a look at the details, and nothing positive to say about it.
But whatever suits you.

I rewatched Thor: The Dark World. I disliked it then, I dislike it even more now. I think it surpasses Iron Man 2 as the worst film in the MCU. I'd even argue that it's worse than TASM2 (yes, I said it).

I broke 80 yesterday for the first time of this season. So that's pretty cool.

Interested in watching TASM2 before sharing your vote here?
If you are interested.

Years? :oldrazz:

Thanks man! :D

What are you guys up to on your spare time?

Right now I mostly feel stressed about study and work! When I find time I go to my hometown to spend time with family and friends. I have way too few hobbies right now.
