She can be portrayed as an anti-heroine that's the way I like her best anyway. Not a throwaway side-kick.

As long as they don't go overboard with uncomfortable sexual references I'm cool with Cat.

Emilia Clarke could be a really good Black Cat if they weren't casting little kids to play Spidey. :P

Did anyone like AOU? I saw it and it is one of the worst CBMs Marvel has ever made. Heck, I'd even take IM2 and TDW over this crap. A floating city which the villain wants to use as a means to destroy the world? Reminds me of a power possessed by an angry bird. Quips every second and then a serious character death and then more quips? Yeah, color me impressed. A plot that basically has no consequence for the entire universe and is a retread of the original? Oo, so exciting!

I know MCU has been associated with quality, but the truth of the matter is that a lot of their films are hits and misses. I think they only truly succeeded with 4 movies and the rest have been set-ups for a movie thats gonna come 3 years after that one. And based on their godawful acting choices for Spidey, suffice to say I am not that impressed with the direction ol' webslinger is in now.

Wow, I 100% disagree with this entire post. But hey, there's no accounting for taste (in Sweden we call it "the taste is like the bum").

I don't agree with most of this. As for the plot, many plots are similar. Read Joseph Campbell's Hero with a Thousand Faces. Many plots are used over and over again with only the protagonists changing. Good rule of screen writing; simple story, complex characters.

I really wanted to like it, but it was just so bad that I could not. Ultron in particular was one of the weakest villains that has ever hit the big screen. I would even put him behind the punny Mr. Freeze. Yeah, I went there. Even the Fantastic Four reboot would be better than this plot-hole ridden obligatory addition to the mixed bag that is the MCU.

I don't know, I was pretty excited when I heard that Spidey is gonna be in the MCU. But, seeing the actors they have narrowed down and the general comments from Fiege alone, it just feels......eh, for lack of a better word. I feel like we just got Spider-Man the Animated Series and the Spectacular Spider-Man and now have to sit through Ultimate Spider-Man.

I loved AOU. Ultron was, for me, in the top tier of CBM villains. But hey, everyone has different tastes.

There were a few things I think they missed out on, but for the most part the movie was definitely enjoyable.

I won't argue with you about Age of Ultron, it's a matter of opinion, even if yours is as far away from mine as it can be.

However, don't you think Marvel's Spider-Man will be an improvement from the TASM series?

Raimi and Webb's movies are largely irrelevant. Marvel and Sony should simply aim to make a great Spider-Man movie. Comparisons can come later.

I was referring to that he said it's like we just got SMTAS and TSSM and now will se USM.

Marvel needs a way of moving set up for future movies out of their event movies.
AoU suffers from cramming in too much information.
Look how Marvel's event crossover started, Secret War. Very small, focused and concise (like the first Avengers movie) and now Marvel's event crossovers are now a convoluted MESS. They need to dial back the amount they show the general audience in Avengers movies or the audience will become bored and desensitised.

Having watched 7 episodes of Daredevil, I dare to say that Charlie Cox is up there with RDJ as one of the best comic book casting ever.

Age of Ultron is actually my favorite comic book movie. It felt like a comic book perfectly. It had good characterization, humor, and was serious when it needed to be. It was like watching a comic unfold. The action was amazing. I dare say the Hulkbuster and Hulk fight was the best fight in any cbm, and I loved Ultron. Besides all of that, Vision and Hawkeye were great.

I totally agree! Though, I'd rank The Winter Soldier as higher on my list of favourite MCU films.

I had a really hard debate choosing between the two. Personally I gave the edge to AOU just because of how enjoyable of a time it was for me. I went Sunday with about 20 or more friends, and we went out to eat beforehand and after the movie had coffee together. It was one of the best experiences of my life tbh. I had been saving money since the first trailer xD

Sounds like a great time indeed! :D

Haven't seen the movie yet, but can't say I'm surprised. Sounds about what I was expecting it to be.

Just entered the "Amazing movies will be cult classics".
My reaction was "maybe, Daredevil has a cult following".
Though, cult following is nothing to be proud of, it's small potatoes.

That is true, but I consider Daredevil (the Directors Cut in particular) to be an underrated gem.

That analogy scares me so much.
