Daredevil looks friggin divine. I love that Kingpin is kept more mysterious this time. I haven't seen a movie with that actor, but I'm hearing nothing but the best about his acting. Spider-man would be better as a tv series narratively or at least easier to write, but I don't want Spider-man's abilities to be shown with hokey tv special fx, immersion is important to me. Besides, a good writer could just as well crank out a good movie script

Reading some of the posts in the Spidey forums drives me crazy sometimes yet I keep coming back :cmad:

It's tough to be in what can feel like the minority when it comes to what you like and don't like. Don't let that sway you though. If you believe something is good, that's all that should matter. It may be difficult at times but keep coming back...I appreciate your opinion and it's good to see differing ones.

That Daredevil trailer is a thing of a beauty.

And I agree, Daredevil looks so good.
Group hug ya both.
Yes, it really is.

A lot of posts are made to drive other folks mad.
It's all about how much you allow them to bother you.
And as UltimateWebhead said; your personal opinion matters the most to how much you enjoy a thing.

Okay, everone start crossing your fingers that Doug Belgrad takes Amy Pascal's place at Sony!

Where is that Kevin Bacon GIF from?

Ah cool, thanks. I knew I recognized it from somewhere I just couldn't place it.

I never realized it was actually him until like the 10th time I saw it :oldrazz:

Btw that avvy is sick, I loved that bit

What's up everyone. Hey Daltonio, what's your take on the current season of Arrow? I am good with everything except Felicity's character. I am also really starting to like Laurel lol. There's something about her this season that is kinda.....sexy, for lack of a better word.

I quick question for ya fellows: is entertainment media purposefully portraying North America far more white than it actually is? When I visited New York, I didn't see that many white people, mainly latinos, blacks and even more asians than caucasian. Not that I have a preference, but in movies portraying the region I've seen mainly white folk when in reality the race seems to vary a lot more

Really depends on where you go. There is actually a lot of diversity in New York, particularly with the people who actually reside there. In that case, white people are somewhat of a minority. But if you take into account all of the tourists, visitors, and people on their way to work, you'll probably see more whites.

Maybe.
They show mixed races mostly in ghetto neighborhoods.

Thanks!

Gotta love your avy as well, I can't wait for the fourth game!

Because he'll probably make the Marvel deal happen. :oldrazz:

I was just messing with him anyways.

I'm still really enjoying the show personally. My biggest problems right now are the forced Olicity drama and the uninteresting-ness of the flashbacks this year but they're already getting better by the week, so I'm not sure I can count that against it. Honestly I'm pretty surprised by how some people think there's been a drastic dip in quality. It's not my favorite season, but I don't think it's all of a sudden gotten terrible or anything.

It really is a shame about Felicity, back in Season 1 she was one of my favorite characters but it seems like I like her less and less every single episode nowadays. Not sure what they did to her.

Oh, and I'm definitely on the same page about Laurel. I've always been one of her few fans, but these last few episodes... wow. :hubba

Like said above, it really depends on the area. But in general, I agree. There really aren't enough minorities depicted in a lot of entertainment but they seem to be getting better about that these days.

So, 2016 is the year for CBMS... how would everybody rank those movies in terms of anticipation?

For me:

  1. Captain America: CIVIL WAR
  2. X-Men Apocalypse
  3. Deadpool
  4. Batman v Superman
  5. Dr Strange
  6. Suicide Squad
  7. Gambit

Hmmmm... I'm just now realizing that I still haven't watched The Avengers besides the one and only time I saw it in theaters, lol.
